Don't forget that if you come to like the form factor and capacity you're looking at repeating that price ~every 2 years.

Don't forget that that a device with a higher price point will also have a higher resale. I paid $680 for my refurb 7 Plus 128GB and Swappa shows them selling for an average of $656 right now.

Pah! Pennies!

iPhone is for everyone, because there are entry models after all, no? Just wait for all these features to trickle down!

Wow, I really miss the simpler days when iPhones had three "new" prices and that was it.

The only reason anyone wouldn't want there to be more iPhone options is because they don't want anyone else to have one better than they can have.

Also did Apple bring over the old furniture from Infiniti Loop? If not then Steve Jobs did not sit in any of those tables. A bit of fake facts there.

No one said he did, what she said was that Ashton Kutcher sat at the table when filming Steve Jobs movie.

looks like a good test unit ... hope these numbers and QR code don't mean anything important!

Apple holds its brand as upmost importance and they curtail their message accordingly. This haphazard video diminishes their image and I highly doubt this followed traditional internal communication channels. This will most definitely be frowned on by internal Apple constituents.

Her dad knew she was recording for a start, also she didn’t record anything secretive, Tim Cook was seen with the iPhone X at a recent talk at a University. This is building up hype for the upcoming iPhone X so Apple won’t mind that. I’m looking forward to it, pre-order on Friday here I come :)

Definitely a marketing move from Apple to appeal to her audience base, which I assume is Teens and younger.

I guess it's fairly typical for kids that age, but just one word comes to mind... spoiled rotten. Okey, that's two words. I really hope she is prepared to work hard for money in the future and not expecting to live off of daddy's money.

"Shopping solves all of my problems".... ugh.

What the hell is this UI? So the flashlight and camera buttons are just going to obstruct notifications?

Yeah that's pretty bad. Anyone know what it looks like when it's all the way down? Since they're not able to be tapped while swiping down, they should fade into view, and the notifications should fade out at the bottom with the buttons positioned to either side on the blurred background since they have so much UI height to work with. Although I wonder why you even need those buttons from the notification view since Control Center has the same thing? Your interface shouldn't feel cramped when you're on such a large display.

that was an Apple approved event at Apple Park...No media has access to the iPhone X outside of the keynote event itself.

And Brooke only had access to the phone inside the cafe (at least on camera). With her walking around with a DSLR she would no doubt had to have permission to be recording. Her father, being an Apple employee, no doubt knows the rules of showing off pre-release hardware. Obviously I can't say for sure that he had proper permission, but since it would be an obvious bone-headed move not to have. Also the fact that he had an actual device on him in a public area makes one think this will not be an issue.

Edit: Sorry she had a dslr (looking) camera not a video camera.

Right, and her dad didn't realize that when he let his daughter record herself using the X while answering her questions in the middle of the Apple cafeteria and allowing himself to be on the video. C'mon, think people. Think.

Least we forget she had a huge ass camera with mic and all..... Apple may have even supplied the equipment for her to record the iPhone X. The whole video appeared to be recorded on a portable device, except for the iPhone X moment. I love how people get so outraged about how Apple may or may not do things. HAHA

This was approved by Apple marketing , and assisted. Good glimpse into what to expect.

Give the secrecy of apple, there is no way this would have been allowed to happen on their campus without approval.....and blessing ;) and co-production...

Date on the Calendar is Friday the 15th. The 15th in October was a Sunday. The 15th in September was a Friday. This iPhone footage was shot on September 15th and is just now being posted because it might be a part of some marketing stunt. But why? Her channel has hardly any views and subscribers. Super weird. Also, why would an Apple feature Google Maps prominently on the home screen, along with a whole folder of "Church" apps and another filled with competing music streaming services? The only other thing I can think of is there is some sort of internal date that employee devices are able to be shown publicly and he made her sit on the footage. But then why did they allow her to bring a big dSLR with hotshoe mic onto the campus? Not much of this makes sense.

Here is the internal device info printed on the side, taken from the video:

Not too long from now we'll all know when to expect to receive our phones.

EDIT: re-watched the video, does look kinda thick as someone mentioned earlier.

Dang that color looks amazing. I opted for the silver because I couldn't find any good pictures of the space gray. Now I'm thinking about switching my color on pre-order day... says that might delay my shipment, so we will see!
