Oh maan it got removed? 1) that was a pretty good video. 2) that girl’s dad is so fired
She actually seems very intelligent, but she came across in a way she probably didn’t intend to, especially in light of the fact the video is now removed. If she spends most of her time in that environment she might not have been aware how far up the sticks are wedged up our butts here in the rest of the country and beyond. That goes especially for myself. I’m always paranoid about being too generous of a parent. I like to run a tight ship.
I have a friend from California, and she loves to talk up a spa day and mani pedi blah blah blah. But she’s actually whip smart and does a ton of humanitarian work. But if you were to catch her in a cross section of her day when she’s blathering on about shopping and nails and whatnot, you’d think she’s vacuous, too, but she’s not. She will tell you herself it’s just some sort of California girl thing that comes out. I don’t know because I’ve only ever visited there for brief stays each time. The people there seemed lovely for the most part. Much more polite than what I run into here at home.
Historically, I always upgrade. But I feel the conflict within me about this product. Not sure what I'll do this Friday.
Yes. The embargo is typically lifted for media typically the day before launch day (sometimes up to a week before). For employees, not until the first customer shipment happens.Isn't there an embargo and NDA signed for this sort of thing? Usually the embargo is lifted just a few days before launch but this soon and from such an unqualified person...I dunno...seems like this is not sanctioned from the top. Could be a big mistake.
Pretty accurate.. though not in all cases. I can talk about the X.. just can't post a review or video using it right now. Not that I would, I'm not that kind of reviewer. It really depends on the product itself is how Apple handles releasing of data.Yes. The embargo is typically lifted for media typically the day before launch day (sometimes up to a week before). I sure hope her father doesn't get fired over this.
Good point. But in all cases, Apple controls who talks about it, and when.It really depends on the product itself is how Apple handles releasing of data.
If I worked as an Apple engineer, I'd be mortified at having such a vacuous offspring only interested in endless shopping (with my money no doubt) and using my credentials to get likes on her YouTube account. Sad thing is, I get the impression he's proud.
#189If that guy wasn't authorised to show off, he's getting fired soon
To be clear for those that are not aware:
Those that are allowed to "carry" the device (both before and after announcement) are held by strict agreements... basically the agreement is that you can use as your phone (but it's not yours), and do not show it to anyone that's not authorized to see it, and do not discuss features with anyone not authorized to discuss it. That agreement expires upon FCS (first customer shipment). Violations of this are treated seriously - it's a violation of your contract with your employer.
Yeah this is not a game when we're talking hundreds of millions, if not billions of dollars in revenue at stake. These are not slap on the wrist violations.I do beta tests for Netgear’s Consumer (ie Routers, Arlo Camers) and Buisness divisions (ie NAS etc) and have done some for Roku and even Epson as well, and they all had pretty much the same rules.
2017, Apple year of the "Notch" and the "Red Dot".Same here. I'm due. However, the X is better than the 8+ which I normally would get, and I'd probably go for the X. However, that damn 'notch' is just so un-Apple. It's just so ugly, annoying, unbalanced and feels like such a lazy solve that I just can't come to terms that Ives allowed this through the design and approval process.
I'm holding out hope that next year's model will have a better solve for the notch. So I'll hold onto to my 7+ until there's a more attractive upgrade.
Apple demanded the video be taken down because father called the phone iPhone Eks
It can be heard in the first half of the original video. He did correct himself later though, which can be heard in the second half.
No, I'm not joking
I bet the girl said it "it's so huge"How long have journalists and bloggers been using the phone? Do they even have review units yet? When will reviews drop?
No way, look her up, she has 315 followers. if she had maybe 100,000+ then I would say maybe but personally I think that is a little bit of a stretch. Also this is no way her Dad was not yelled at by his boss.Definitely a marketing move from Apple to appeal to her audience base, which I assume is Teens and younger.
