Yes, Maybe I will actually get this nano the one now is really ugly. it's tall again!! I'm also waiting to see what's going to happen with iTunes, Hopefully we will get that subscription service.

I know, I looked him up after I wrote that. Nonetheless, he's still talking about rumours here, which isn't based on him, but on the people he knows.
I think that's exactly the point though.

I'm surprised more people haven't heard his name before. He's one of the most logically-minded tech entrepreneurs in the field, and has proved his worth many times. If there's anyone who's going to know someone with insider information, it's this guy.

I'm extremely sceptical. One fuzzy picture is not going to convince me. I'm sure whoever took the picture, assuming it's the real deal, could have taken a few more pictures at a variety of angles. Then I may consider believeing it.

That said, I'm still looking forward to when the new iPods come out. Hopefully they'll be a MacBook too.

I know I miss the MBP (maybe a speed bump with Blue Ray ?)

The think is: The list is pretty long I guess and I know we will NOT see a lot of news since Apple apparently choose to release new stuff every other week to keep people interested about Apple moves.

So, I bet this list is the thing we could see until the next huge presentation in January '09.

My real expectation for september are:

- a new Aluminum 13 MacBook (or MacBook Pro) with Trackpad Gesture & Backlight keyboard... ok, a 13" (or even 12") MacBook Pro

- a Mac MID, to lay down on the sofa, playing game, surfing the web and watching movie at the airports

I need to buy a new laptop, so I'm really waiting for one of this two guys...

All the rest would be just a "plus" and could wait few weeks...

But again, that's just me :)

Bye,
Spid

Damn! i've been iScrew again!

Just brought my girlfriend a ipod nano pink in February, feel pissed about it now..but it was for Valatines day:rolleyes:

they would say that, and if it looks too professional, then it's photoshoped, the pic isnt that fuzzy, and i doubt whoever took the pic was supose to be doing what he/she was doing so i doubt they stop and take ten shots

"Girlfriends come and go, but an iPod is forever*." :apple:

(*forever until the new revision comes out)

p.s. (...wait... that's like every other Apple Product ["ooh, gotta have the latest!"])

Wait for the new, completely incompatible cinema displays

There displays don't have [HDCP] and there video chips may not have it as well.

I lay odds that the Cinema Display redesign will move to DisplayPort (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DisplayPort) with HDCP and skip HDMI altogether.

Since Apple loves to jump the gun on new technology, the displays will also drop the "legacy" DVI and VGA connectors.

And, of course, the new Mac Pro and laptops will have DisplayPort only - meaning that you can't use a new display with an older system, nor use an older display with a new system.

The current top Dell monitors support all the ports (e.g. http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/...etail.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=bsd&cs=04&sku=223-9379), so it will still make more sense to buy a monitor from Dell than from Apple.

I really don't like the look of that. Much prefer the original 1 and 2G iPod Nano's but Apple doesn't make money from videos on them.

lets hope iTunes 8 adds the criminally complicated and cutting edge feature of being able to play an album on repeat without having to make a flipping playlist.

Apple hasn't even released new Cinema displays are you are jumping to conclusions that it'll be more sense to buy a Dell because it'll have DVI, HDMI and DisplayPort?

I very much doubt Apple will release new displays that are limited to what you can use them on. I'm confident they'll miss HDMI out, but just solely using DisplayPort and dropping DVI I doubt completely.

Many people are eager to buy the new displays, and if they have to buy a new machine (think of people who JUST bought a new Mac Pro who'd rather not splash out on another GPU, or people who just bought a MacBook Pro) just to use it? I know Apple is notorious for doing things like that, but they'd sell very few if they cut off literally 99% of the consumers.

iTunes 8.0 features

I hope iTunes 8.0 is not just a client side upgrade. I think they should take the opportunity to allow a client/server type of install so that you could have one home server (like a Time Capsule) serving media to all iTunes 8.0 clients through out the house. Also, they could just allow one of the Mac or PCs to be the server for people that don't have a time capsule. They could also allow multiple servers. Currently, iTunes is a nightmare for people with central storage location. Time Capsule has to be smarter than just for time machine and external hard drive. It should have the ability to be an iTunes 8.0 server.

new nano

Peeps. Apple will never curve the display. that is TOTALLY against the apple brand design guidelines.
What will most likely happen is the front becomes completely flat, possibly made of glass with a curved rear - reminiscent of the new iphone. I wouldn't even be surprised if the wheel goes away entirely.

I REALLY hope that's not the new Nano design. I can't imagine going into an Apple Store and seeing those lined up on a table. It's so un-apple. Anyway, I doubt that picture has any relevance.

I can totally see a price drop on the entire iPod line. Looking forward to revisions being rolled out in the first or second week of September.

um.........hmm, he's stupid cause he made the video in front of a staircase????............ yeah thats stupid:confused: like WHO takes videos in front of staircases, like what wrong with him GEEZ.

that post made you seem soooooo intellegent:eek:

No you are right, staircases are the ideal places to broadcast from, you get it all the time it's people and staircases in the media, and ladders too, in the news, everywhere...:D. It's not the random internet bozo who doesn't even have enough space in his pad to put a fridge in that is forced to go and broadcast in front of a staircase. Hey mom I crammed my watercooled octo cpu in front of the staircase right next to the bath for 10 and now I am playing mac guru to the world. What a clown.:apple:
