I would think that if Apple incorporated Blu-Ray players into it's computers that the MBP would be first. After all, it seems the MBP is first to get a lot of things. Weren't they the first to get the Intel chipset after the move from PowerPC? I'm sure that if Apple introduced Blu-Ray to the Mac that it would eventually expand across the entire line of computers (desktops and portables).
Why? Well apple always shoots for something new, unique and stands out, because thats what will get your attention and make you rremember it. You all need to learn to trust apples designers, I dont mean to sound like im kissing apples ass... but their designers are geniuses
The rumors may prove true, but I sure hope that's not the new nano. It looks... ugly.
When will iTunes become JUST for 'tunes' ?? Its bloated, ram hogging CRAP, and not all of us have or even want an ipod, iphone, itouch, itv, etc.
Can they just just release an mp3 ONLY application?
and I'm moving to NEW YORK CITY tomorrow!
(Irrelevant to everyone else but still )
...source describes plans for a device which is about the size of a first or second generation Nano but missing the click wheel. The entire face of the device is covered by 2 screens and navigation is said to be carried out using the lower 1/3 of the device. The plans call for a separate lower touch screen to display menu icons and positions based on currently selected functionality so music, photos, movies, and game navigation would each get their own unique menus and the user would select icons by simply touching them
I think the order would be:I would expect it to first be included in the Mac Pro, since the Mac Pro has a tray loading drive. The Macbook Pro would require a slot loading drive that would cost a ridiculous amount of money.
And sometimes mockups and leaks don't do it justice, and you have to see the actual device before liking it.Honestly I think this nano pic is real... everyone is doubting it just like the fatty iPod nano, but if you havnt noticed yet... apple way of designing things is being creative, and when people say "there is no way apple would go with that design!" Someone in apple smiles and says "looks like we did it again!"

Sorry if it's a stupid question, but why would this imply a refresh soon? I don't really understand why the shipping time varies anyway. It's either in stock, or it's not, so I would have thought it would be 24 hours or like 2 weeks for example (however long it takes until they get more in stock).
Because it's good to fulfil promises.
iLife '05 was the last iLife suite to include iTunes (4.7) with the other applications. iTunes was always a separate, free download, but my guess is when iLife '06 came out iTunes was dropped from the suite to make room for iWeb.iTunes is already part of the iLife suite. If anyone has any older Mac OS X or iLife discs, you could get an old version of iTunes on there. Mac OS X v10.0 had iTunes 1.1, the first OS X version.

It will be a MacPro first and it will be build-to-order and it won't happen until FCP Studio is rev'd to support Bluray.I would think that if Apple incorporated Blu-Ray players into it's computers that the MBP would be first.
I would also like to add an incremental metadata backup, so I can go back to say, last week, and see all the play counts and playlists I had back then.2) Backup/Restore - iTunes is in dire need of a backup utility. The "Back Up to Disk..." command doesn't cut it. Features of this utility are:
- backup playlists
- full backups
- incremental backups
- backup top-level folders
- create backups based on criteria, similar to how smart playlists are created.
- choose the location of the backups.
- keep the folder hierarchies so it knows where to restore the files
- view content of each backup
- automatically select only the files that do not exist in the destination
- select or deselect specific files before doing a restore
Damn! i've been iScrew again!
Just brought my girlfriend a ipod nano pink in February, feel pissed about it now..but it was for Valatines day![]()
I'd settle for music stored in the music in the music folder, video stored in the video folder at this point. But yeah, I wish they would break up the content into usable directories. I moved all my video podcasts out of iTunes and started using Miro since it let's you do organize it the way you want. Why Podcasts, TV Shows, and Movies are in iTunes MUSIC is beyond me.
- iTunes Audiobooks
- iTunes Applications
- iTunes Games
- iTunes Movies
- iTunes Music
- iTunes Music Videos
- iTunes Podcasts
- iTunes Ringtones
- iTunes TV Shows
Does "Blu-ray support" mean:though for me, the part that was the coolest news was about Blue-ray soon to be available for Apple!!! I can't wait to burn my own blue-ray vids!!! =D
omg what with the MS hate, it's just a company, and it's not AS terrible as people make it out to be, the zune is just as good as any ipod. the only reason Im not getting one is because the ipod LOOKS cooler.
Now im a apple fan like everyone else, but i just dont get why some of ya'll have passionate hate for microsoft, like there some evil coporation built on world domination.
