New iPod Nano, iPod Touch, iTunes 8.0, and Blu-Ray in 10.5.6?

I've purchased 3 hard drive iPods: 30 GB, 60 GB & 160GB. I received a free iPod Nano with my Intel Mac Pro & have a 1 GB iPod Shuffle. I hope to see the iPod Classic expanded & continued. I want all or at least most of my musi on 1 iPod.

I do plan on purchasing a new iPod Touch to use as a PDA to replace my Palm.

Or barring that, Apple lets only the info they want leaked to his "drinking buddies"?

Apple may have been completely clueless when it came to adopting blu-ray, and even more clueless by abandoning their highend mac pros and cinema displays in favor of portable cheap iCrap for the unwashed masses, they may well have microsoft spies sabotaging releases of Mac OS, BUT believe me; they are in full charge of what gets leaked and what doesn't.

THAT's their sense of priorites.

So if that really is a mini usb port it might be pretty great if there is also a standard dock somewhere else...

if there's a mini usb port, then that would make additional accessories available like an external fold up keyboard
 
That new nano looks hot, much more pocketable than the fat one. I really don't think apple would go with mini-usb though, considering every iPod ever made to date has had the same dock connector...
 
How the hell was the fat pod not pocketable? It wasn't as tall as the prev. gen, and while it was wider, it wasn't too big for any pocket.
 
IMHO the last revision to the nano was ugly and this one looks to be just as bad. I think I'll keep waiting for the Touch to come down a little in price and just pick one of those up instead.
 
I think the so call "leaked" picture of the new nano looks absolutely RETARDED and I doubt it's real. It doesn't say "Apple" to me. It says more like..."Creative Labs" or "Sony 1998".

It's a retarded elongated oval with an awkward screen placement.

Think about it for 2 seconds, why would apple make such a design that differs SO MUCH from what they just released? They have no products that are oval shaped. It has been rounded rectangles since the iBook G4 and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Remember, much the same was leveled at the "leaked" pictures of what is now the current iPod Nano. :)

Mind you, I agree that Apple would not use this form factor, mainly because of the screen. Most (if not all) iPod Nano/Classic games won't work well (if at all) in landscape mode and it would make videos in the current Nano/Classic format look worse.

I remember the same being said about the leaked screenshots of dashboard when those first surfaced.

How can a bigger screen make the videos look worse?
