My question is: Is anybody who doesn't currently have the iTMS in their country not getting the country confirmation screens that don't let you browse the Store's front page?

doesn't currently... not getting... don't let you browse...

I'm sorry, but I can't follow your triple negatives here. 😉

I can't believe Apple would come to Canada. I've only been suffering for a year and a half or so now, which is clearly not enough.

Probably a mistake for Canada. I expect Western Sahara and Yemen to get it before us. I'm not even sure Steve knows what Canada is ?

No, you're thinking of Dubya. 😀

Yeah, that could have used some revision. 🙂 What can I say, it was early in the morning and I was being too smart for my own good.

In japan, I get the message as the jpg file shows.

If you click ok, you'll be taken to the flag page.
And, whatever you choose the flag, you'll be back at the same warning page.
You can enter the store by clicking first
the eye button and double-clicking some of the genre, however.

I do hope they'll drop countries "barriers" and allow us to purchase music from any country (I'd like to buy a few J-Pop songs, but at the current import CD prices of 40~60$CAN, this is ridiculous).

Yes, we have. Besides, how often do you see Apple writing text! with! exclamation! marks! everywhere! ... as in the image purportedly taken from the Akamai servers.
Have to agree with you on the exclamation mark.
Never, ever seen Apple use one!

BAD Fake..

Apple would NEVER do Belgium before Nederlands!

Duh ;P

If your going to Put Belgium on the list (and Denmark) you better include the nederlands in you fake 😉

Look at what happen when I try to click on the French Pop category. An error occurs. This is a canadian artist, so there is hope for iTMS Canada tomorrow.

Well, that confirms ITMS Canada! 🙂
(Why would they have added french Canadian content if not for us)

Next step: drop the fake barriers between countries! Free the music!

sigh....

so i guess iTMS ASEAN
(Singapore, Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, Brunei,Thailand etc) will still be a long way off........

There is nothing wrong with ignorance, as long as you aware of it.

If you are aware of your ignorance, you're not really that ignorant since you know that you're ignorant. But if you do know, then... er... my head hurts.

I jusy saw that image-I wonder if Australia's iTMS is up soon-lucky for us and New Zealanders will have to wait?

10 AM Pacific time on Tuesday, Oct 26th. That's GMT-7, so it'll happen at 5 PM GMT, or 1 PM EDT.

How do you guys make those damn links work? I'm on Opera 7.54/Windows, and all I get is an "address type not supported" error...?!

I am on Win2000/IE6 and clicking it makes iTunes pop to the front and go to a certain song. Also does that on my G5 at home.
