Would this iPhone SE sell well? It is a classic design etc. etc., but the screen is small and the battery won't last long.

In Europe it will probably be priced at about €490. For that price, you can also get a second-hand iPhone 12 mini which will be vastly superior in almost every way (except the CPU).

If it would be based on the design of the iPhone 8 Plus, it would be an amazing phone, but 4.7" is just too small of a form factor screen and battery wise imho. But I’m sure it will have buyers.

Kuo has been talking about the next SE being larger then that petite 4.7" SE that is selling now, that could offer a larger battery.

Tim Cook just announced last week Apple has 1.8 billion active devices worldwide.

That's right, it's a lot of Apple hardware.
Yes, of course, a huge achievement!
So, those services can only exist if people keep buying the hardware.
Different to Microsoft / Google. etc.

The SE is intended for price sensitive customers such as those on prepaid phone plans. Sure, you could get a used iPhone 12 mini, but most stores won't have those.

Probably not. My guess is that SE3 will be identical to SE2 with updated internals (maybe updated camera) just like SE2 was essentially an updated iPhone 8.

I'm sure most here will disagree, but to me it seems like they are a bit lost on "what else to do" with iPhone at this point

SE line is what it is....but even on the Pro's it's just sort of more spec bumping really.

Not sure I know any better or have any ideas --
This is probably why they are gripping their revenue streams with iron fists

there is always the possibility we see the the watch SE 2 launched alongside the iPhone SE it would make sense to launch those two products side by side, similar to the higher end iPhones and watches do.

I still think there is every possibility that the ‘entry level’ iPad rumoured to be launching is going to be the 11” iPad Pro (as that is technically an ‘entry level’ iPad pro) but retaining M1 but with a mini LED display, if that does happen, that means we are not getting the redesigned iPad Pro with M2 until Spring 2023.

IDK how they update the Air to an A15 and not update the pro. It will then be about as powerful as an M1 iPad Pro and even further blurring the lines between the products.

This revisits the rationale of why they used the M1 SoC because of A15 SoC availability. A15 appeared in Oct with new iPhones, while the revised M1 IPad Pros were in April. Given that iPadOS 15 was not what people wanted its makes things more to complain about. ;)

Does the next iPad Pro even need to use a M2 or will it return to a more power efficient A16?

When analysts talk about entry level iPad, they're always referring to the $329 iPad.

Exact reason I think the 11” Pro is going to have a minor refresh with XDR at this event, with the redesigned M2 iPP’s coming in Spring 2023… for the past couple of years apple has launched the iPad Pro’s in the spring but with M2 not ready that can’t happen this year… but what can happen is the current 11” getting miniLED, this will also give Apple time for the redesigned iPP which will launch in Spring 2023 if the 11” gets refreshed next month.

Now with the news another entry level iPad is also coming, that could quite easily be an entry level iPad Pro.

It’s not analysts who have said entry level iPad, it’s industry sources… that could simply be someone who works for fedex or other shipping company for all we know.

Analysts have just taken entry level iPad as meaning the base iPad.

This ain't a new story.

Recall back in September 2020. iPad Air was launched with A14. The iPad Pro continued to ride on A12Z. The sky didn't fall.

In the real world, buyers look at whole lot more than just the processor when making a purchasing a decision.

A FedEx worker? Every single time, it's supply chain sources like Kuo, DigiTimes, and Nikkei who break the news followed by marketing sources like Gurman. No one would call 11-inch iPad Pro as "entry level" just like no one would even think about calling iPhone 13 mini as "entry level."

The article which leaked the entry level iPad claimed it was industry sources have indicated a new iPad Air, entry level iPad and a new iPhone have been shipped to India for testing purposes.

That could literally be any industry source, but let’s be honest supply chain sources and marketing sources all reported a squared off Apple Watch coming last year which never actually happened, at this point no one can be relied upon for information.

I’m curious about the refreshed iPhone SE+, it would be cool if they made the screen a bit taller keeping the same iPhone 8 form factor, but I guess the screen will be the same.

I seriously think, tho, that this SE+ with 5G should come with, at least, a 2.000mAh battery.

As for the Mac mini, I’m pretty excited to see the new generation and new design.

The entry level iPad is expected to have A14, 5G, but retain the existing form factor. It's nothing revolutionary so I'm not surprised Apple sent it early for testing with Indian carriers even if it's not expected to launch soon.

For Watch 7, keep in mind only one person claimed completely flat edges - Prosser. No one else did. We know his reputation.
