This is really no different than the iPad Mini and iWatch rumors. I'm definitely looking forward to a Mac Mini refresh.

those rumors usually came from multiple sources and there were lots of them. This here is a single rumor with no sources named. I'm looking forward to a new mini too but taking this rumor for granted is way premature.

I would strongly consider replacing my MacBook Pro with a Mac mini if the mini had slightly more power/specs. I do a lot of photo editing, and have a cinema display. Plus, the mini is small enough almost to travel with in the event you just want to hook it up to someone else's monitor/keyboard/mouse, otherwise I would just take my iPad on travel.

I'll be very interested to see what they offer both in terms of power, options for upgrades, and physical design.

I've been wanting to upgrade my mid 2011 Mac mini, but it's the last model to have dedicated graphics. If they release a new Mac mini model with dedicated graphics, preferably by nVidia, I'd be all about it. It's a great machine for people, like me, that move a lot.

4K-support would be nice. Perhaps get rid of the FireWire port and add a second thunderbolt port. I hope it keeps the IR receiver its a nice home theatre machine.

I installed the dev preview on my mid 2011 Mini and it runs smooth. Way better than Lion and Mountain Lion. So yeah, why not release a new Mini alongside the release of Yosemite. It's a good couple.

AMD Radeon 6630M, but I don't play games on it, I do artwork in photoshop, music in garageband and CGI in Maya.

Here’s hoping they go with the Mac Pro form factor! I want to be able to buy third party computer wraps that will make the thing look like a soda can.

Cute but if it were that small, attaching a cable or two for ethernet, etc. would probably tip it over. Then your soda would spill out and the Google fanbois would flood the internet with minigate.

Please don't cripple it by making it not upgradeable and proprietary.

The MacPro reminded fully upgradable despite almost total doubt. We won't know until release it seems.

What would be cool is if they can make the Mac mini as big as the Apple TV. Just not as thin as some of the other things they've been making. Who knows, they may be headed down that path too.

That, or build a mini with the ATV inside.
