And here are the pictures, the card is in Dutch and they remembered that it's not my first sleeve.

I doubted very long between the limited (blue) and the grey/red but in the end decided that the grey would look very nice with the Space Gray MacBook

:)

That's such an elegant cover.
My concern is if it provides a snug fit for the MacBook without the risk of falling out?
Thanks

I just received my WaterField rMB 12" SleeveCase today and am loving it! It's a perfectly snug fit.

Before this, I already owned the SleeveCase for my 11" MBA and really enjoyed it as well.

As you can see from the picture, the 12" sleeve is not as wide as the 11".

Love this bag but the huge obnoxious logo on the front drives me crazy.

This is what Joli websites states on FAQ pages re fit.

The shape of your sleeve:
Your sleeve can be a bit tight in the beginning, we made it that way. Leather is a natural material and it will stretch a tiny bit when you use your sleeve. It takes the shape of the device so eventually it will be perfect, which means not too tight, not to loose so it won’t fall out easily. To fasten this process you can put your device a few times in and out in different ways. Another possibility is let your device stay in the sleeve for a while.

I do not love this bag but agree about the logo - in fact maybe is just the logo

Funny we all love our macs but have quite varying tastes about covers and sleeves for them.

It's very snug in the beginning. My old MacBook air sleeve is almost three years old and stretched to the amount that it's easy to get out, but when I hold it up-side-down it still doesn't fall out. :)

10-15 years ago everybody just walked around with their PowerBooks and iBooks in Neoprene sleeves from Tucano. There wasn't much else. I'm quite happy that there is a lot of choice now.

For what it's worth I'm using the Acme Made Skinny Sleeve for the 11" MBA on my rMB and it works and looks great. It's not snug tight, but it isn't large enough to feel like it was made for another device.

Here are a few pics:

Hi @hcole623. This is true?
You have a Macbook Pro Retina 13" with a Acme Made Acme Made Skinny Sleeve for Macbook Air 11" ?

I am interested in this case for my Macbook Pro Retina 13" and need to fit perfect, no looser fit. I view to buy the Acme Made Sleeve for Macbook Air 13" but if you said is possible insert my rMBP 13" in Sleeve for Air 11" I go for it.

You can take a picture with the Sleeve for Air 11" with Macbook Pro 13" retina inside? The pics I view in your post no have the rMPP inside. Thanks!

The official dimensions I view:

MAcbook PRO Retina 13" / Acme Made Sleeve 11"
Height: 1.8 cm / 1.7cm ( I think this is no problem to fit fine)
Width: 31.4 cm / 31cm ( no problem with difference?)
Depth: 21.9 cm / 21.5cm ( no problem with difference? Not view a short part for rMPB ?)

Sorry for the confusion, let me explain:

Acme makes a case for the 13" MacBook Pro Retina, I used to have a 13" MBPr and the Acme case was great.

So great in fact that when I got my 12" new retina MacBook, I wanted to get a Acme case but they don't have one in production yet. So I ordered their case for the 11" MacBook Air, which is only marginally larger than the 12" retina new MacBook. I think it fits plenty fine enough, just a little loose, but with the elastic band around its not at risk of falling out. I'm a pretty tough customer and this meets all my needs for now.

This Moshi sleeve looks solid. I have one of their origami-styled iPad covers and find it to be great, so hopefully this one continues the trend. No price/availability info yet though.

Received the Moshi Muse 12 today. Not like other versions of this case. More rigid. The microfiber is on the inside only.

Flap has no magnet, but the way the rMB goes inside there is no chance of it falling out.

Problem with this case:

1) Its the size of a Macbook Air 11. The unit can slide. It may not be an issue for some however and the slide is about 1/2 inch
2) The inner lining is not bonded to the outer which causes the outer layer toy look weird.

Its going back.

So Far the BIHN case is the best simple sleeve and the Incase Sling sleeve 11" best when I want to carry more than the macbook.

Trying the Befine since its prime on Amazon. Hope it really is for the Macbook 12 as it says or its going back defective.

Just saw your new pictures. Thanks for posting. Canceling my order. Its not made for the rMB.

You're using the macbook air version then?

The manufacturer only lists 11 and 13. Amazon say "Macbook 12" which is meant to say it will fit, but not that its made for the rMB.

Same is true for Dicota above and the Moshi Muse.

this... also, in the product description on amazon:

Product Description
* Perfect fit for the New Macbook 12" and Macbook Air 11".

It's impossible to have a "perfect fit" for both.

The MacBook CAN slide around just a little bit in the pouch. This isn't enough to bother me and I'm quite happy with the product.

Very true about Amazon descriptions. The Toffee case, however, does indeed fit quite nicely with the 12" MacBook.

I like that. What size did you order? Are you completely happy with it?

- It's sized for the MBA 11", which is just a little bit wider than the rMB.
- For me, this is a feature, because i can put in my rMB without scratching it at the zipper.
- The bag holds the rMB at its place, there is no shifting when closed (There is not much shifting-space at all).
- I like that it's flat, although the power supply, a USB-C-dongle and a USB-C-Stick always is thereby.
- I thought i'll miss a shoulder belt, but the whole package is unbelievable light and small, i'm not missing it now. :D

Thanks for all the feedback. One of the reasons I like this particular case is that it has a "piggyback" option:

It does increase the cost however, so I'm definitely open to other alternatives.

This makes a lot of sense. I'm finding myself switching between bags all the time trying to anticipate my needs.

Anyone using hard protective cases for their MacBooks? Generally have used these for all of my macs, mainly to protect agains dings and dents. Curious to see if anyone has found a good one that they like.

Been looking for a while now for a nice briefcase for my new macbook.
My eye felt on this nice case from waterfield but with shipping and taxes its kinda a no deal for me. https://www.sfbags.com/collections/macbook-cases/products/zip-brief-macbook-case

If somebody has a nice alternative for something like this, that it claps open on both sides, i'm very interested to hear :)

Now i found this booq bag http://www.booqeurope.com/eu/briefs/taipan-superslim/TSS13-BLK

Its only made for an 13"macbook but the site says its "compatible" with the 12" to. Just wondering if somebody already has experience with this size with the new macbook? Don't want that it wiggles around in the bag, but with 1" i doubt that is not gonna be a problem.
