New Macbook Case Thread

You forget that the 12" rMB is a lot smaller than "standard" 12"-devices, so it's not just about that 1" (see the comparison-foto below) It's more straight-forward to search a sleeve or bag for the 11" MBA, compare its inside-measurements to the rMB and decide based on that.

Thanks for this nice info, didn't know that personally. Time to look (again:D) for another case sinds booq doesn't have a decent model for me.

edit: I see you have a Dicota bag. Which one do you have sinds there is an 11 and 12" available. Look nice, think i found my case after all:)

Just ordered the Pack&Smooch Merino sleeve for the 11.6 air. it should fit my upcoming rMB perfectly, and the small pocket should house the usb-c adapter just fine as well. I ordered it in dark charcoal with the dark brown leather insert. Anyone have anything to say about this sleeve? is it as good as they claim? comfortable?

Don't know if anyone has looked at the full cover vinyl skins but if anyone knows anywhere that does them in clear/transparent with an etched design I would be grateful if you could let me know.

I ordered this case from Etsy, to be shipped to Australia. I hope mum likes it (it will be a gift for her).
+ Charcoal grey
+ New MacBook size (no point getting the 11' Air size!)
+ Like the small pocket - have ordered a Hub+ from KickStarter (hope they don't run away with my money) and will shove that into the pocket
- Expensive accessories, sigh.

Will report once I receive it, unless someone gets theirs first.

Had one on my old 11" Air for over three years. Wore well. Great sleeve. No zips to scratch your machine.

Damn I put the 11.6 inch on on my amazon cart about a month ago, before the 12 came out. didn't check the official P&S site before ordering. And it already shipped. I'll wait until it gets here and check out the fit, if I'm not satisfited I'll order the 12. :confused:

Yeah I didn't double check the P&S site before ordering off amazon and it already shipped. Maybe I'll get the 12 if the fit isn't perfect.
 
I just received my Bholsa case I had made and snapped a few quick pics with my iPhone. To early to really tell you what to think of the case but the first impressions are very good. I like the flap and while I most likely only rarely need to 'fill' it it'll be nice to have available. When it's empty (or just a USB adapter and Headphones) it will also just provide another layer of protection when in a bag, I would call it a win.

Probably would have like more elastics in the flap for even more versatility but I don't expect any issues with the ones I have. Probably wouldn't have needed the second row of extra snaps because when filled I can close it quick easily still.

All in all my first impressions are good and I can recommend [Bholsa on Etsy](https://www.etsy.com/shop/Bholsa) without any hesitation.

Glad to you are happy - the colours remind me of EasyJet! Orange inner looks very bright and cheery in the last pic :D

Am still waiting patiently for my MacBook and case

Yeah I like the color scheme, if I could do it again I might go for a little darker grey but this is cool too. Being Dutch I do like me some orange!
 
Just got an email from Joli to say that my sleeve has been dispatched and should arrive by Friday :D Excited but will be more excited when my MacBook is dispatched :(

On the plus side it will have instant protection when it finally makes an appearance!

Yep, in exactly the same boat here! At least I can put my iPhone in its new Joli sleeve as I ordered knew of those too.

Sorry to hear that your rMB has still not dispatched despite the pending charge being there for so long. It was the same for me. :( Must happen soon. :)
 
So I took delivery of my Joli Originals sleeves today, one for my iPhone 6 Plus and one for my yet to arrive Macbook.

These are the first Joli's I've owned and I have to say that the quality is incredible. The leather is super smooth and the precision in which they have been sewn together is excellent. My iPhone slips into the sleeve with ease but shows absolutely no danger of it falling out when upside down.

I am now completely sold on their products and their service is exceptional as you can see from the packaging.

I'll be recommending them to all those who need a sleeve/case to protect their gadgets!

Just wish my damn rMB would turn up now!

I'll likely be getting a 6S plus when it comes out.... I'm curious for you and others that use a sleeve for it, is it a pain to take it out of the sleeve every time you want to use the phone? I was thinking about getting more of a folio type thing but curious to those who use the sleeves with phones, what you think.

If only the Joli folks used photos that showed a MacBook, instead of a MacBook Air and a MacBook Pro, with the case.
