Hey, at least yours in on the way. :) I'm holding out for local inventory, so...maybe.

My delivery estimate is May 8-15. I'm in a better position than most as I already have a fully capable rMBP, but this delay just threw all my enthusiasm out of the window.

I'm thinking about buying all my accessories between now and then. At least I'd have everything ready to go by the time it got here.

I just ordered the Black and Tan case from Cocones:

Now it's a race to see which arrives first, my Space Grey Macbook or my Black and Tan case. I think they'll make a really nice color combo.

this is the best looking case I've seen so far. My one concern is that wool is slightly abrasive if not properly woven, and tends to trap dirt easily, which may make it even more abrasive. This looks high quality, but I ordered the space gray macbook, which will probably be the one most easily scratched.

To me, from a stylistic standpoint, this is the case to beat. I may still get one. ;)

I received my Booq Viper hardcase and it's a nice piece of case !
Looks excellent quality, paid only 20€ for it on Amazon France. Booq confirmed me that the Macbook 12 will perfectly fit in the 11' case.

I never had an issue with my wool case for my Macbook Air. I'll report back to see if I notice any issues with this new combination.

My Macbook is schedule to arrive today but no case yet... I might have to go makeshift. Padded shipping envelope? Maybe...

I just ordered this backpack for my new rMB, iPad mini, iPod touch and iPhone 6plus. I can't wait.... I had it overnighted! I really love the backpac in the medina collection, however a its a bit expensive and this is also a nice one and I am sure it will be a nice backpack.

Got the SFBags rMB case today, shipped Tuesday USPS from SF and arrived here in Boston today. Beautiful stuff, as always. I have to say that you guys have introduced me to several other makers of really attractive cases in this thread. Here's hoping the rMB lives up to the cases people are lining up!

Which SF Bags case did you end up with? I love their stuff.

I've decided to get a Michael Kors sleeve; it's beautifully slim with saffiano leather and will go very nicely with my Michael Kors handbag.

Can you update when you receive it, looks interesting.

Has anyone found a hard case for the new MacBooks? Something similar to the speck cases? I know speck is working on one, but has not released it yet.

The MacBook Air 11" Leather Slim Sleeve with Zipper from Decoded fits the 12" MacBook but just barely. Since Apple Retail store carries this sleeve, I expect a 12" MacBook version might be coming soon.

UPDATE: Been using the Decoded Leather Slim Sleeve designed for the 11" MacBook Air for the last three days. Decided it's going to work perfectly as a protection. If I need to carry more stuff, I'll slip it inside one of my messenger bags or briefs. Here's the link to the sleeve on the Apple online store:

Decoded has a version with a zippered side pocket but you have to find a dealer since you can't order direct from them: http://decodedbags.com/products/basic-sleeve/

I don't have my MBr yet as my order will arrive in around 3 weeks... *deep breath*
The construction is excellent, 20€ is supercheap for that quality! The body is a lot rigid, I think I can throw this case in my luggage without the fear my Macbook could bend.

I would recommend this case !

(I've contacted Booq because the Yellow is advertised as compatible with MBr and the red to be compatible with Chromebook but they assured me that they are exactly the same cases, targeted to two differents users. So go for the cheapest!)

I have this one on the way. I'm wondering if I could slip my iPad Air 2 in the other slot. Belt and suspenders ;)

Yuck. When the pouch is thicker than the laptop, no good.

I have a Crumpler Macbook Air 11" Fug Sleeve (it's basically a really overprices neoprene slide-in sleeve for the Macbook Air 11").

The new Air 12" fits in perfectly, but it slides about an inch past the case, which is funny because the 12" laptop is smaller than my 11" air was.... Most people would think it's no big deal, but to have that little bit of flappy extra neoprene at the end is annoying my OCD.

Has anyone found a super slim profile Neoprene sleeve, or something similar yet? I like the idea of the Radtech, but would be nice to have something slightly (read: VERY slightly) more padded than just a piece of cloth. This Crumpler sleeve was so perfect for the Air, but they don't make the sleeves anymore.

Ideas?

I was thinking of getting this one (Outback Macbook Sleeve). Anyone have one of these (for rMB or any other MB)? Does it fit tight around your computer? The reason I like this one, even though it's probably not the thinnest of sleeves, is that it comes with a shoulder strap (not pictured) so I can carry it around or bike with it without having to have a backpack or other bag to put it in.
