Does it look a little bit slanted?

Does anyone else think that the typed specs on it looked crooked at some places? Like where it says AMD Radeon HD 7770M graphics, the "graphics" part seems like its a little slanted or where it says "LED-backlit glossy"? Maybe the label is a little bent so it appears that way but it just seems odd and makes me suspicious. Maybe it's because I want this to be fake because I want 2880x1800 or possibly 3360x2100 resolution instead of 2560x1600 lol

Here's a more level version of the pic

It does but that might just be an optical illusion because 9to5's watermark is crooked. Either way it looks sketchy

Its a fake. Intel does not offer 2.6 GHz with 8 MB Cache Quad Core i7. There is only 2.6 GHz with 6 MB cache.

Its just a fake.

I just realized: we may know the specs (if they're real in the first place) but we don't now about the physical appearance yet. For all we know it could be a brand new design.. More to look forward to :)

So basically... we don't know anything. :D

Wouldn't be the first time an Intel chip made its first appearance on a Mac...

Could be fake, but I can't wait to find out either way.

The 13 inch and the 15 inch are both FAKE. The spec sheet will always tell you how much VRAM you are getting with the integrated graphics (for the 13 inch) and the processor in the 15 inch does NOT exist.

These are both fake, and now confirmed. So move on people. We have much better specs to await us at WWDC!!! :D

They should make a poll of how many people think its fake or real.

I think it's fake, It seems plausible but I would expect apple to come up with something much more interesting and lets use their words "revolutionary" and "innovative" than just what would be considered a speed bump imo.

I call BS on this.

I don't see why everyone is speculating. In 5 days we'll all know.

What makes it fake is the fact that FireWire is still included. Apple knows it's a failed port. Thunderbolt and USB is all you need.

Apple got bad feedback when they removed FireWire from the MacBook (not pro) line up. They also won a Grammy for inventing it. Based more on the former than latter, I think they'll keep it.

I'm still stuck on USB 2 hard drives because they're cheaper than FireWire. Everything will probably go Thunderbolt before I even get my first FireWire drive!

Could Retina Display be an Optional Extra ???

lol If Apple does make them as an optional extra, I'm just trying to imagine how many threads will pop up in the MBP forum titled "Should I Get the Retina MBP?" or "Is the Retina option really worth it?"

But I'm betting my money that they will let it go. Especially as thunderbolt and USB 3 become more mainstream. Furthermore, you have to ask yourself why would they waste physical space with a port that is rarely used. There are way more USB devices out there, and thunderbolt is just picking up momentum.

I'm sure yanking out the optical drive will piss a lot of people off, but they'll get over it once they wake up.

Not to mention they could always remedy this problem with a FireWire-to-Thunderbolt adapter. Your argument makes no sense.

Another thing to note, on the first line of the stickers of the 15" and 13" boxes that I have at home reads "xGHz x-core Intel Core i7 processor; xMB shared level 3 cache" (x because of different specs for 15" & 13"). Compared to "2.6GHz quad-core Intel Core i7 processor with 8MB shared level 3 cache"

Notice the semi-colon on the actual and the with on the "leak".

With the MacBook Pro 15 having SANDY BRIDGE and this, I believe that both reports are false. On the other hand, there is a report on 9to 5 Mac on ANOTHER spec label that seems to good to be true! I think both are false.

The one on 9to5 also has misinformation. It states the 15" has a processor that intel doesn't even make.

Didn't they change the name from "Mac OS X" to "OS X"? It is still "Mac OS X" in the spec.

USB 3.0 was only natively supported by Intel's chipsets with the recent Ivy Bridge update.

I hope that results in better driver performance and reliability. So far in my experience, USB3 is all hype and little substance. The CPU load USB3 demands offsets any overall performance gain in my experience unless you have your computer do ONE thing at a time, i.e. dedicate all resources to capturing a video or copying data.

I actually have a custom video application that runs slower overall on USB3 than it does on USB2, not to mention all sorts of stability problems with the USB3 drivers. This result has been confirmed with two different cameras from different manufacturers as well as two different USB3 ports with different chipsets.

USB3 = hype

Why it WILL be the display as now

The MBP 13 shares graphics memory with main memory...so BW of that port is very critical to the performance of the over all system. Multiply that graphics BW bite by 2-4x and you have serious performance impacts on the processor. So I don't think this is even an option for the MBP 13".
