Spanky - I think our laptops are travelling together!

Mine changed to the 'preparing for handover to final courier' message on other items last night (other than the MBP that is). This morning it's gone back to 'In Transit to customer - shipment on schedule' - which i THINK was what it said before (can't quite remember though!). Do you get the same thing?

I ordered MBP 2.8 7200/320, applecare, ipod touch & canon printer on the 15th, shipped on 24th.

I'm in the same boat as you and Spanky and I reverted back to the same status as you now.

Same thing happened to me...must be a good sign?

Mine changed to the 'preparing for handover to final courier' message on other items as well (other than the MBP that is). Don't pay attention to the Apple Tracking until they give you an actual tracking number, their system is obnoxiously backwords. It seems that either one or two shipments went out on the 24th, Spanky ordered on the 14th so if my hunch is right and its split into two shipments, he may get it before us who ordered on the 15th.

Either way, Apple Customer Care told me my macbook pro would be arriving in the UK depot today and that I should be getting a tracking number by 5pm, so if she was correct, then we should be getting our MBPs tomorrow if we are on the same shipment.

Just keep us updated if you guys manage to get tracking numbers throughout the day, every little bit of info helps.

Are you sure it said In Transit to Customer before? Not, In Transit to Final Destination? Think thats quite a big difference.

ah... now that you mention it, it may have been 'final destination'. Damn!

Ah well, it's fun to clutch at straws and keep hoping!!!

Fingers crossed for tomorrow! Although... do any of you know whether it's possible to pick things up from a TNT depot? If it's all there this afternoon it might be possible to just go and get it! That would be nice. :)

When you get the tracking number, you can call them and find out... but I don't think you'll get info until the late afternoon, and by then it may still only be on a truck from the main UK distribution centre, to your local TNT depot. But, again, if you're really antsy, wait till you get the tracking number and then call them to find out, it just may be your day!

Does anyone know if the MBs and MBPs shipped together? My MB, ipod, printer and sleeve were shipped on the 24th too. Tracking today + delivery tomorrow would be great.

My just cahnged to "In Transit to Customer - Shipment on Schedule" from the message that it was on it´s way to the destination country, but still no tracking number... Ordered on the 14th...

Since the last time I checked yesterday my current delivery status has changed to "In transit to destination country - next updates expected in 4-5 business days" it says that it did this on the 29th. But 4-5 days will take it past the estimated delivery date of 1st Nov. lol the wait continues. I ordered on the 15th , shipped on 24th.

I think we are all in the same boat, or all on the same donkey.:D

I don't see why not, always better and easier to have a bulk shipment go out, no need to segregate the macbooks away from the pros. It's not whats inside that matters, its when its ready and where its going.

Good morning everyone!

Mine's now updated to "In Transit to Customer - Shipment on Schedule" so I'm guessing that I should get a tnt tracking number by the end of today and then might get my goods delivered tomorrow. Here's hoping!!

Yah mine switched to that too... other people on the 24th have switched to some other messages like, In Transit to Customer. So, its just a waiting game till the evening... but I see no reason why ours would have gotten delayed by that much and others shipped on the same day come through by tomorrow... All indications point to it being a faulty tracking updater, but wait and watch!

I am still holding out for a change by this evening and it being delivered to me tomorrow

Nothing changed here! Apple told me to ring back later today if i have had no change... :(

Again, just wait until 5pm, its probably a large shipment and they are taking their time to go through and register/organize everything correctly... then eventually update the status page. Your MBP should be in the UK, and if they get to ours before the TNT truck comes around to pick them up, then we should all have tracking info soon.

I'd say people like Spanky are assured to get theirs tomorrow since their status change indicates that they are merged and waiting for the truck to come. So if he gets a tracking number and some of us don't, then that would probably be an indication that the TNT truck made their pickup today and the Distribution Center won't get to sending ours out till tomorrow, unless they have several pickups from TNT throughout the day.

Ugh, and Fallout 3 just came in the mail and I don't have a computer to play it on, so I'll just be staring at it until Apple/TNT get their act together... I can't believe they did not have an expedited shipping option and subjected the lot of us to this ridiculous method of delivery!

So... patience. I'm going to actually try to get some work done, I'll catch up with you folks in a few hours... best of luck to all of you!

:( Apple's tracking pages are down now. Even less information. You know, Apple could easily say that getting a new MacBook Pro delivered increased productivity by 300%, purely because in the weeks preceding delivery, your productivity gets reduced by a third due to spending all your time checking updates and reading forum posts!!

That's very strange - mine is working. maybe it means it's on its way!?!? [clutches straw!]

Mine's working now too, must have been a temporary thing. Said it was due to upgrades or something on the server. No updates on my order though.

On my way in to work this morning I got a call from the Regent Street store too, they now have MacBook Pros in stock (they said they'd call me last week when any came in).
