That's not good... Well I'm going to keep everything crossed just in case!

Until then does anyone know if apple has a complaints email address? I'm not very good at complaining on the phone and would quite like to tell them they're useless.

EDIT: But then i suppose it's my own fault for getting involved in all this speculation... :(

Same as yours - in transit to customer, shipment on schedule. Estimated delivery date: 30th October 2008 (GMT).

The thing that's always concerned me is that this info is garnerned by clicking Track this Item next to the iPod part of the order. So it may well be true that my iPod is on schedule, the MBP however is completely untrackable. And we find that it's still in Luxembourg.
 
Shipped 30th October. Woo.

tracking says expected 6th nov, email said expected 10th, order status says the same 4th-12th november as ever.

Hmm...

Can't understand why they won't let us track the mbp when the facility is obviously there. At least if we could track it we wouldn't be ringing them up hassling them. Mine is supposed to be delivered tomorrow, and apple told me yesterday on the phone that the mbp was in uk customs and will be in depot from last night, merged with printer today and delivered tomorrow. I have a bad feeling now they just lied to get me off the phone.

Mine shipped 25th.
 
My MBP arrived today - ordered it just after the event - and it's a work of art. Well worth the wait, as will all of them be when they arrive, which I hope is soon for everyone. It really is a glorious bit of kit.

I just spoke to Apple again. Apparently my order has now been assembled (i.e. all the items on my order have reached the depot and have been repackaged) and is waiting to be collected by the truck. I should receive my tracking number via email within the next 24 hours and delivery is meant to be on or before the 4th. The guy I spoke to did, however, say that its meant to be picked up today and (unofficially), it should be delivered if not tomorrow then Monday. So fingers crossed, I'll hopefully get it delivered tomorrow {prays}.

How do you guys get such useful people?! I always get people who stick to the estimated date story, or they make a point to say that I have already called to ask this question ;-) does anyone want to call for me? ;-)

Does your's have Distribution Centre as the carrier? I may give apple a quick call too...

..Just phoned - My MBP hasnt arrrived yet, or te system hasnt updated. Now it looks like Monday. What a joke!
 
I just spoke to an American lady who told me my MBP (ordered 17th shipped 26th) should arrive at their depot tomorrow and be with my by the 4th.

When I asked for a more accurate timeframe (so I can be at home!) I was told she'd send me an e-mail with all my tracking details as soon as it goes out - wouldn't they do this anyway?!

The info on their tracking site is really unhelpful and confusing (for me).

No it doesn't. It still says "In transit to final destination - carrier details to be updated shortly."

What date is on your Estimated Delivery Date when you click the tracking button beside the printer and then select british time zone from the top?

Completely agree. I pointed out to the woman that the only information I have access to says the following:

Estimated delivery date: 30th October
Status: In transit to customer, on schedule
Also: In transit to final destination.

Now I have a different view on things because I've been following this thread but as a layman, that tracking info says nothing other than it's on its way to me as the customer, on schedule and it's due today.

Given that I'm told the real state of play is that it hasn't even made the country yet, despite setting off a week ago, just illustrates how pathetic their system is.

A shockingly slow delivery time compounded by a "tracking system" that does not nothing but mislead and confuse.

My "Estimated Delivery Date" says 31st Oct - but from what she said I think this means delivery to their UK depot - which doesn't make much sense to me but wasn't going to argue too much with her.

Will have to go to lectures now tomorrow :-(
 
4:37, status just switched to "Preparing handover to final carrier"

She said I'd get an update at 5pm at the latest, they pushed it close... good news folks, check your status's if you are on the 24th shipping.

Ta. Same as mine.. Shocking service really. I'm going to check where mine is now as they told me yesterday it was in the Uk but I'm pretty sure mine is with yours.

Depends on if they can get it to our local depots tonight, its all a mater of distance from the Apple UK Distribution center... anyone know where it is?

By the sounds of things, your delivery is coming to you this eve or tomorrow morning at the latest. Good show. Afraid i'm still lost after 'Incheon departure scan' since the middle of last night. Dunno where i stand. Could be a messy wait for me?!

No you should be fine, refer to the earlier posts in this topic quite a few pages back, they should give you a good idea as to where you stand (You UPS folks get them really quick compared to us stragglers).
 
which bit is the important bit? I have these two messages.

Current Delivery Status In Transit to Customer - Shipment on Schedule

and

Carrier Tracking Number
In transit to final destination - carrier details to be updated shortly.

Assigned Carrier
In transit to final destination - carrier details to be updated shortly.

So its on its way to customer and final destination, what does this actually mean?
