Got same answer as you when I just rang. They now say it isn't in the UK and estimated delivery date is the 4th Nov. I couldn't help but tell the guy their customer service and website tracking facility was appalling.
I hope it is near me. Im debating whether or not to go to classes tomorrow. If I have a tracking number tonight I skip classes
if not looks like it will be monday. Which will suck as my copy of ADobe CS4 will arrive tomorrow and there is no point of installing it on my imac then uninstalling it and then putting it on my nee MBP. Arrghhhh Tis not good
It is in Hinckley, Leicestershire.
I ordered something from apple last tues and got in on the wed from there so thay can get to me in a day via ups. It is about an hour from my house. I live in Warwick
They picked up that order at around 4am and i had it at 11am
It means its still on its way to the UK... you ordered on the 28th, so you'll have a bit of a wait... just to give you an idea, our orders say 31st estimated delivery on our Shipment Status Pages (in UK Time), we will either get them on the 30th or have to wait till monday (unless our carrier delivers on sat).
Yeah I got confused, I had it earlier. These tracking notes are making my head go in circles and I've got a splitting headache now.
Cheers for the little bit of feelgood but i must add that UPS uses another service in Ireland. Haven't a clue who or where from?! Sure i've spent long enough confused and clueless like a lot other folk. Another day of anticipation wouldn't kill me...
What was his response to that one?
I'm still hoping and praying that somehow I can get it tomorrow... If not I'm more than happy to risk a trip to Hinckley to get it on Sat!

Just been updated to 'Preparing handover to final carrier'. Ordered 16th, shipped 24th. Macbook, iPod, printer + sleeve. Fingers crossed for delivery tomorrow!

Oh no sorry I didn't mean that, I meant its on its way to the UK from China... Problem is, that us merged orders have no clue where it is until its in the UK. We can extrapolate from the UPS data that it goes through Korea and then Denmark, Germany... I think thats what it was. But It's all assumptions, your estimated delivery date in your Shipping Status page is your best bet, not the one in the Apple Order page, thats a conservative estimate.
Spoke to Apple and they said its in the UK distribution centre waiting to get picked up by TNT or UPS! Should get picked up Today - Tomorrow - Saturday the lady said! Be delivered Monday! So annoying Now i know its in the UK 100% the waiting is worse!!!

It may be picked up tomorrow morning and delivered the same day as I had happen. Where are you based moclippa?

SW London, so its a good 2 hours from me. But it may still work out, so I'm still anticipating it, as it would hit the estimated shipping date perfectly if it did.

Unless you have seen carrier status change to 'UK DISTRIBUTION CENTRE', I can safely say you will not get your MBP.
I have given up faith and now have to wait until Monday. I will be writting to Apple about how their site misinforms customers.
