Even more irritating to know that your MBP was sitting in a depot 2 hours away for a totally unessesary merging process, and that even though it was registered to be picked up, and a carrier on its way to London made a pickup, yours wasn't included. Yugh.
I think in light of the economic situation Apple is trying to cut costs... My merge occurred because of Apple Care, which they usually ship separately, but this time they decided to include in the merge. I'm going to start typing up a complaint about deceptive tracking information and slow shipping to corporate tomorrow, where I will also include a link to this forum topic.
I'm sure the people at the call centre are just blagging what's going on. Yesterday I was told my order was at Hinckley. A few hours later I was told it was not yet at Hinckley. This morning I am told that the printer, nano, sleeve and Applecare are at Hinckley, and my MB is 'somewhere between Shanghai and Hinckley'.

Spoke to apple and they said that its going through customs at the moment and should be handed over to TNT or UPS later today! i asked them for special shipping to see if it can get it here for tomorrow but no luck!
Really annoyed
Phone UPS and ask if you can pay the extra for Saturday shipping? Worth a try?

I had no tracking number last night but checked it this morning and I have a TNT tracking number that says my package is in Bristol (I live in bristol) and out for delivery!
Having said that I'm going to have to call them because I still don't have a 'Track this shipmnet' button next to the MBP, only next to the ipod, printer and applecare... please don't be a tracking error!!!
Maybe this can give some of you some hope? Just to clarify - ordered on 15th, shipped on 24th. 2.8 320/7200 MPB with ipod touch, printer & applecare.
I go and call TNT!

Congratulations! Don't worry by the way, I haven't got a "Track this shipment" button next to the MacBook Pro on my order either.
The status changed just after I made the call to 'Out for Delivery'. The guy then phoned me and said that I would definitely have it delivered today. The original person I spoke to said it had just been slightly delayed, but it looks like it wasn't enough to stop it actually being delivered.
I did notice that you get slightly different tracking information if you choose the 'Track - International' tab instead of 'Track - National'.
Still, all looks to be well - looking forward to a weekend with my MacBook Pro

What part of Bristol are you in? The Bristol Depot is in Yate...
I am in Bristol too...
Its completely dependent on their routes. It could literally be in five minutes time or in 5 hours time. Back when I lived in Nottingham about two years ago, I lived pretty close to the major depots of the delivery companies, however, sometimes I'd get my stuff delivered first thing when they headed out on their routes and sometimes I'd get my stuff delivered at the end of the day when they came back from their routes.
Don't worry though, as long as there isn't some *major* traffic delay that means the driver gets stuck for half the day, you should be getting yours today without fail.

I get 'Please Call' on the national tab but on the international tab it says it's 'Out for Delivery' - three of the sweetest words in the english language.
A call to TNT confirms it should arrive today but I'm still convinced something will prevent it getting here.
I'm in Clifton - apparently it left the depot at 9 this morning - am now sitting in my window twitching excitedly as vans drive past!
