I ordered a Macbook Pro through PCWB in order to get my discount. However, I ordered it towards the end of September, meaning I ordered the old MBP. Luckily, I ordered a custom model, 2.53ghz with 200gb 7200rpm drive and 4gb of ram. However, the order took a long time to come.

can7ona have you be assigned a carrier / tracking number? Are you in London?

No not been assigned a carrier yet but they could take hours to update their tracking system from what I understood of yesterdays posts.

Right now I'm in Leics which is where the laptop is meant to go... but I'm moving to London on Sunday night so if it ain't coming today it's going to have to be delivered to London.

Edit: Tried the delivery ref number with all 3 courier sites but no joy :(
 
mine is a 28th posting so will be Tuesday at best guess. As far as status updates go, will there be any activity over the weekend? or does it all go quiet?

I know, I have tried all the number I have with all the carriers lol and no joy.

When I got my time capsule last earlier in the week the tracking system was updated by 8am on the morning I got it. I hope that there is a delay in the tracking information and that it will come today but I doubt it. You are possibly closer to the Hinckley depot than me, so you may get in sooner. Who knows...
 
Hi there, I live about an hour away from the depot in Hinckley. It won't be coming via UPS to me today as the van has already been to a house next door to make a delivery ( i nearly ran outside when I saw it pull up....ok I did run outside like a dog after that postie lol) and I would have thought that if it was coming via ups that it would have been on it. It may come by TNT but I would have thought if it was coming today that it would have a tracking number. Would love to be wrong but I don't think it will be here today. What it the estimate day that it should arrive with you? - edited to say that I have now read the end of your post!! lol

Yah I called Apple today (all Americans), the guy said "defiantly not today".. I later spoke to another woman, who was quite adamant that there would be no way whatsoever to get a Saturday delivery. And then all the double talk, yesterday I was told it was in the UK, today I was told it wasn't in the UK. And then a whole bunch of straight lies about how my MBP was not being merged with anything. Both representatives gave me a range of estimates, pitching it anywhere between Monday and when hell freezes over. Where's that nice Irish lady that was so helpful the other day?

Anyways I ended the conversation asking her why we were being punished for ordering more items, and why they used a slower carrier for us... she said that it wasn't Apples fault, we in the UK just have a bunch of crap carriers (to which I obviously replied, its Apples fault if they choose bad carriers, and that other carriers they were using in the same deal had much better results. It got testy and she was loosing her patience with me, so I ended it there... Next is either a call or email to corporate to complain about the entire mess.
 
It would be nice to be offered the chance to go and pick it up from the depot - either apples or the carrier depot in person. Especially for those who only live a short drive away. That would cut down on costs and let people get their goods on a Saturday. But with the tracking system being so poor and people say it is one place and then another who knows where the goods actually are.
 
Well mine has now arrived at my house apparently, so I have that waiting for me when I get home tonight!

Yah I feel you, I'd have gone the two hours out of my way to hinkley if they offered me the option... I have a good 5 hours to kill today before a show in the evening. I think your best bet is to just wait for a tracking update, hope it comes today... and if it does, give your carrier a call and ask them if they can provide some alternative, either to pay them extra for sat. delivery yourself, or if you can pick it up from the depot (which they are normally fine with). It's just a matter of when the carrier gets it, puts the tracking number on it, and scans it into their system at the depot.

seems we're stripped back to basic waiting games over the weekend. Mine hasn't changed status since early this morning and is still procrastinating in koln/apeldoorn. It continues to move over the weekend and should be in your nearest depot, if you are in the same boat as me. Ergo, if our designated carriers are up to scratch, expect your package on Mon!

very true. As we type my status has just changed to 'UPS internal activity' and 'exception'. Quite hillarious really. Customs are tight I tells ya. Do you have any idea where your package is?

I wouldn't even recommend calling apple (as I'm sure you couldn't be arsed) as they've recieved enough grief already by the sounds of things. You ordered around the 18th right? And you're expecting to Britain right?

Been keeping a close eye on this thread, as I ordered my MBP on the 30th October I know I’m in for a long wait.

I don’t know what all this complaining to apple is going to achieve. It’s not going to speed up your delivery. If you’re unhappy with the service, write or email the complaints department. Stop giving the poor people on the phones at Apple a hard time. It already states on your order confirmation when its estimated to arrival.

Just wanted to cheer some of you guys up.. I ordered my MBP to Finland so it's a bit offtopic. Anyway, just wanted to say that things could be worse.. lol. I've already been in the "Transit to Customer" phase since 29th and my MBP (+nano) was shipped on 21st and I still don't have it. Oh yeah and no tracking number either.

So I can feel your pain. Hang on!

Btw, it's my first :apple: ! Hope it doesn't suck as much as the apple store tracking.. :)

Mine has now changed to "Delivery scheduled by final carrier, see estimated delivery date", with the estimated delivery date still as today (which gives them about 30 mins to meet that).

It also has a tracking number which is the same as the 80xxx one, and an assigned carrier of "UK DISTRIBUTION CENTER". The tracking number doesn't seem to work in the TNT sites yet though.

I'm afraid you won't get yours until Monday. If you haven't received a TNT consignment number by the evening before then you won't be getting your delivery until the next working day. :( Sorry!
