Keep your spirits up guys, its worth the wait! Mine's absolutely lovely and I've already put my new drive in and reinstalled Leopard. I've spent most of the afternoon getting all the software I need on there.

For anyone new to this thread, here are a few points of note for you:

* If you have only ordered a MacBook Pro then you can expect to have your machine delivered within 4 calendar days from the day its shipped. You will get a UPS tracking number within 24 hours of shipping notification so you can follow it around the globe from Shanghai to the UK.

* If you have ordered multiple products, assuming they all have short ready-to-ship times, then you can expect your order to be delivered in 7-10 calendar days. You will receive no tracking information and will get no useful information from Apple until the evening before you will get your order delivered. At this point your shipping carrier will change to TNT and you will be issued with a TNT tracking number (although at this point the 80xxx number from Apple will also work for tracking). Make sure you set the delivery as being International otherwise you won't have any info.

UPDATE - in the last 30 mins or so since I checked last (sad i know lol) I have been given a tracking number and the carrier is set as UK distribution centre. The tracking number is the same as "our delivery reference number" I am going to try the TNT Int site now to see what happens as I believe 80xxxxxxxx is TNT? Estimated delivery date remains as the 1st Nov but I don't think I will get it tomorrow as it is a Saturday.

I have just tried the 80 number in tnt's site both international and uk trying both "consignment" and "reference" no joy, oh well at least things seem to be moving forward.

The tracking number doesn't seem to work in the TNT sites yet though.

I thought this at first... on the TNT homepage you have to select "Track - International" in the tracking panel. Next either select "Consignment" and enter the carrier tracking number that Apple gave you or select "Reference" and enter the 80xxx... order number.

On a related note, my MBP was just delivered! :D

Been keeping a close eye on this thread, as I ordered my MBP on the 30th October I know I’m in for a long wait.

I don’t know what all this complaining to apple is going to achieve. It’s not going to speed up your delivery. If you’re unhappy with the service, write or email the complaints department. Stop giving the poor people on the phones at Apple a hard time. It already states on your order confirmation when its estimated to arrival.

think you missed the point. Why bother contacting apple at all if your package is on schedule. Keep up the good fight though brave nave!

Try DHL and UPS as well

Doesn't work on those sites either. I guess I'll have to wait til the carrier changes to TNT or somebody else before I can track it. What worries me is that if it's only just been prepared at the distribution centre, then it may not get shipped out from there til Monday now, which would mean a Tuesday or Wednesday delivery.

If we don't see a status change to "Delivery scheduled by final carrier, see estimated delivery date" by 5pm today, I think its going to be Tuesday before we get it mate

I fear you're right, given Macgrl's post I think it is gonna be Tuesday now :(

Hope is for Hobbits and Hobbits don't exist! lol!

Edit: Maybe "in transit to customer" means Apple Distribution as that customer, would make more sense given all the previous info(?)

Congrats on getting yours. I've tried both National and International, with both consignment and reference and neither works. Did your carrier change from UK Distribution Centre before it shipped?

One further note to those still waiting, the change of status the day before your item arrives may not happen until late. It wasn't until 10pm yesterday that I eventually got a tracking number with TNT and my item was still delivered to me here in the North East by midday.

Also, despite the ridiculous wait, these machines are amazing. Much thinner than I expected and just quite beautifully made.

Do TNT normally deliver on a Saturday? I didn't think that they did so it looks like monday for me.

They do offer Saturday delivery but you won't be able to add Saturday delivery on to an existing order placed by Apple. However, have a look and find where your nearest depot is. Give them a ring and find out if you could come and collect it tomorrow morning (or try to pay for Saturday delivery although like I said, that's unlikely). If you do try to pick it up tomorrow then make sure you get there *early*. In my experience, such depots are only open until about 12 noon.

Ok!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes, just spoke to tnt very very helpful, they said first of all that the 80 number I gave them won't work as it is too long. She then gave me a consignment number having tracked down the parcel via my name and address. parcel is in nuneton and i can pick it up tomorrow.:D

edited to say that i just spoke to nuneton depot and they say it is on the way to them and that if I call tomorrow at 7am then they will tell me if the have it or not, if they do I can pick it up, it not then have to wait until monday.

Great congratulations, same case with me. The representitive said the goods weren't in the country yet and they aren't sure if they will even have it ready to deliver by Monday, but it should at least be in a UK depot by then. Anyways, I have the tracking info now so its a relief to actually be able to see the packages progress, if it looks like its in the UK tomorrow I'll ask if I can schedual to pick it up in the morning and take the train to wherever I need to be!

"In Transit to Customer - Shipment on Schedule"

Due 04-05 November.

Surely it doesn't take 5 days to get to me given that it's already in the UK!?

If I do go and get it tomorrow from the depot this won't effect anything if it is damaged before I get it will it? I am presuming it would be the same as if they came to deliver it to my house and then I found that it had been damaged in transit. Just don't want to lose any rights to complain etc by picking it up it person.

Happy to say I'm now at home, typing this from my brand new seemingly perfect MacBook Pro. Hope you guys waiting still get yours on Monday, I feel your pain!

glad you have got yours benwatt. Have to wait until tomorrow to get mine. Oh well it is better than monday

It shouldn't do as it's the same as if they'd tried to deliver it, left their card and you then went to collect it, right?

I'll see if mine gets sent up to the local depot. If not I'll be waiting until monday but that isn't so bad.

Mine has just changed to "Preparing handover to final carrier"! Anyone know if the couriers are open on Sundays for collection?
