So are machines actually shipping in 7 days instead of 7 business days like it says on the order status page? Ordered mine on 18th October, 2.8 model and delivery is 5th-6th November which is 14 business days. Should I expect it sooner? I did get a printer too with the rebate deal which needs to merge in transit, will this add to delivery time too?
Woohoo - 'Prepared for shipping' just now on a 2.8 (250GB/7200 drive) ordered 17/10 at 7:45pm. Anyone else waiting on a 2.8 that just got a similar update?

On a side note, I called up Regent Street and they said they got 5 MacBook Pros in this morning that all went pretty much instantly.

Mines still Not Yet Shipped and i ordered mine at 7:55 on the 14th. The 320GB must be adding the extra time for some reason
Im going to be on of the last to get mine
My only CTO was the 7200rpm 250gb drive but others have ordered the same one and have had theirs ship.
Edit: Woooooo!! After checking for the literally the twentieth time today, my status has now updated to "Prepared for Shipment". Chances are I won't get it until early next week though at the earliest but oh well, at least I don't have to carry a MacBook Pro, an iPod and a printer all the way back on the tube from Regent Street. Tom, do you have a car? You could try one of the other Apple stores around London. There's one in Kingston, I think there's one somewhere in North London then you have one in Bluewater further away and another one in Essex I think. They might be selling out a bit slower than the flagship store.

Since you bought the French keyboard, I'm guessing you live in France and will also get it shipped to you via Netherlands like the rest of Europe?
I guess they are prioritizing France over Sweden, look at my order status below!
I bought in one day ahead of you, and mine is still "Prepared for shipment" And I choose the standard 15" 2.52Ghz without any CTO and no adapters or APP or anything.Oh well. Sweden is a little country, gotta learn to live with that I suppose.
But do you guys think I still won't get it until 31 oct - 3 nov even though it will ship today/tomorrow?

I bought mine on the 15th and it changed today to Pepared For shipment. The estimated delivery is 29-30 Oct. I hope it will be even earlier if they send it fast.

That is crazy! Why do they need to make so many stops?
For a company that has started boasting about how green their products are they sure have a massive carbon footprint when it comes to delivering them! lol!

Have you ordered anything else? If you've ordered Applecare, an iPod, software or a printer etc as well then it usually adds a day to the eta so that it can "merge in transit".

Yeah, I didn't really have a choice. I had to buy the printer and the iPod at the same time so that I can get the rebates and save a bucket load and if I wanted to get the über-cheap full Applecare I had to buy that at the same time too.
Whaa, the APP is rebated when you buy it directly with the computer!?
I missed that one! Maybe it's not in Apple Sweden store though.
