iPad Air uses A14 while iPad Pro was on A12Z for 6 months.I keep hearing “M1X” but I will be surprised if marketing uses that name. The M1 is a year old at this point. If an M2 is coming out next year in a MacBook Air then most people will think that M2 is better than M1X. It is best to use a different moniker for the pro chips. Maybe “P1”
Consumers buy what they need. If you want more ports, 14/16" mini LED, and 32/64GB memory, you have to buy MacBook Pro.
