There can't be a processor upgrade. Current MBPs are already using Intel's latest and greatest.
Nope. With Montevina comes higher clocked processors. The next MacBook Pro will be 2.4, 2.53, and 2.8.

AppleInsider still expects something around the September timeframe. AI does mention that the September refresh is indeed the redesigned notebooks and will have the non-Montevina chipset. So maybe I'm missing something, but if the front page rumor is true (i.e. Apple is eliminating Intel chipsets for the MB), then why wouldn't we expect them to do something similar for the MBP?
I'm just not sure we'll be seeing Montevina anything from Apple...
The MacBook was redesigned in 2006 without an event. If the Macbook pros are not getting a case redesign, then tomorrow is possible, but it appears unlikely. If they are getting a new case, it will be done at a media event. The regular MacBooks at this point seem to be definately getting a complete overhaul.
The way I see it (and I'm still trying to sort out the info):So many rumours going around about Apples note books at the moment I cant put it all together - Apples home-made-cpu with a touch trackpad tablet iphone interface, intels Montevina / Nehalem napalm CPU.... wtf! I'm unsure of all this infomation,
fortunately ,
tomorrow is a flexible timetable![]()
Isn't it fun playing the waiting game?
The waiting game sucks. Let's play Hungry Hungry Hippos.
(Undying respect to anyone who gets the allusion without looking it up.)

I found it funny that one of the hippos in the actual game is named Homer.
Having said that, Apple is returning to the forefront of innovation, and I don't care how long it takes them to put these first iNtel computers on the market.
Snow Leopard and Apple's custom chipset...
Say goodbye, Dell. (and HP, VooDoo, Sony, Lenovo, etc.)

I'm glad you didn't mention Toshiba. They are adding Cell processors to their systems which could have some fairly interesting results in the long run.![]()
Be realistic. None of those companies are going anywhere anytime soon. And do you really want Apple to become that powerful?
