Ah, let 'em fight. This would be the best hittin' I seen since my high school football days.

Oh, on point, mine still hasn't shipped, not prepped for shipping, may not even be put together. Supposed to ship the 19th; however. I am sure I will have it a week from tomorrow delivered (est. 2/23, or 2/24).

Also, mine is the beautiful glossy screen as well. I only mention it in case the matte's are help up in a beauty competition or something. Ah, everyone lighten' the hell up.
 
Still nothing. The pre-authorization for the amount happened two weeks ago, but nothing has been deducted as of yet. Kill me.

EDIT: MINE NOW SAYS PREPARED TO SHIP!!! (sorry caps) fina-f**ing-lly.

I yelled out loud in the public computer lab if you wanted to know. Owning my first Mac will be great!
 
I'm in the UK, I ordered on the 7th of Jan. My order has just changed to prepared for shipment!! Can't wait!!
 
I just looked and they put a hold on my account yesterday for my matte screen, 2.93ghz, 7200rpm machine (order date 1/27).
 
I'm prepared. I've got a helmet and elbow pads on in the likely event that I'll faint when the status changes.

Hi,
They took the cash last Friday & now (Monday 16th 10.00am GMT), order has changed to 'Prepared for Shipping', still shipping 19th & no email advising of shipping yet. (Ordered 6 Jan & then revised order 13th).

Looks like it won't be long for most of us now & that'll be great!!!

Credit card pre-approved two weeks ago. Ordered mine 6 Jan at 12:45pm and still shows 'Not Shipped Yet', Ships: February 19th. I guess some are luckier than others. Maybe today, if they haven't taken the holiday off, I'll hear something? This is becoming stressful! :eek::eek:

strange. i ordered stock 17 with anti-glare on jan 6th and havent yet had a pre-auth. either that or amex doesnt show pre-auths. ill be excited when i see a matte screen ship.

Dont you just get the feeling that 95% of these wont be ready to ship by the 19th.

Ordered on 6th Jan, Stock glossy model, pre auth all done, taken my money, but not even ready for shipping yet, still says "Not yet shipped"

Theres no way Apple can get all those promised for the 19th shipped by then.

If you are using a regular AMEX, you won't see a preauth, but likely they should have called you after you ordered. If you are using Blue by AMEX which provided credit limits, then you should see a reduction in your available credit shortly after you ordered.

Still nothing for me. It looks like that people that ordered on the 10th should have theirs prepared to ship my now.

you must be kidding us...you think a huge machine like Apple cannot pull this off? How many orders for this machine do you think there are? There really are not that many because most cannot afford dropping 3 grand on a laptop and the 15inch probably sells much more. Same with Mac Pros. Most people just don't need the juice.

They will get it done...:cool:
 
There will be a deluge prepared today and just in case the holiday gets in the way (hey, that rhymed:)), tomorrow will be a bumper day for FEDEX.

Spoke to a guy at Apple today about what 'Prepared for Shipment' actually means, like is my Macbook in UK, China or where?
He said it's in Asia now, within 24hrs it should be 'En Route' for 5-7 days max, next is 'Merge in Transit' in UK of extended Applecare, then probably around 23-24th I'll FINALLY get the Fedex/UPS tracking info with delivery on 25/26th. These are all 'at the latest' dates BUT it still feels like ages until I get to play!
I just hope 'at the latest' becomes earlier than delivery a week on Friday!!!

Has anyone anywhere actually had the mythical Macbook Pro delivered?
 
Hey, mine says shipping 19th:D

Oh wait, that is the same it said last week. I just got excited that that is this week!:p

Hey, I heard from my sister's husband who has a friend in Illinois. This guy has a cousin from California that used to be engaged to the other lady's sister. Now she was dating a guy last year that worked next to a former boyfriend of another cousin. That guy said yesterday that no one had received one yet.

BTW, I did get the manual delivered, via pdf:).

ive been following this story since the start , this is very funny guys, a word of confort to does who spend 3 grand in a mac, it worth every penny, this is the best macworld story since the story with prototype macbook air.
will be a happing ending:)

remember pictures from your new macs 17 with benchemarks, ssd, 7200 , 8gb, helmets.
