Ordered the day after they announced it. They didn't email me at all I checked the web.
Yep. Apple Nordic is giving a small press conference/presentation in Stockholm next wednesday (Feb 4) so at least the machines are on their way.
Hoping to get mine in less than two weeks from now. That would mean about four weeks wait from placing the order (Jan 10).
Ordered one last night. It's listed as shipping February 18 and arriving on the 23rd. That's a long wait.

I phoned the main San Francisco Apple Store late on Wednesday and was told there is a real possibility they will have the 17" MBP (glossy screen) on sale on FRIDAY of this week. He didn't have any predictions about when the anti-glare version would be coming).

That is not to bad. I ordered on the 16th of January and ship date shows the 3rd of march
Where do you live? I ordered one in Thailand and the ship date is was 18 Feb... when I called them to change the keyboard layout to the US one then my ship date changed a day after and the deliver date got bumped up 10 days earlier.
Thought that too at first. Until I counted on my fingers. That's *eighteen days* (latest) from now! *Stomp stomp stomp.*
Ordered mine today 1/29 and the confirmation email says ships Feb 20. I got the 2.93, matte, 7200rpm 320GB HD.

Had to order one through school computer store and the Apple Institutional ordering system which added more than a few days to the delivery. -.-;;

Good Grief Charlie Brown. You will get your computer in the first few days of February. Don't get angry, instead, just be ready next week.
Now I just can't wait for some other people who also got this MBP and finally get their hands on it and make a detailed review out of it. So I would know what kind of superweapon it is that I have ordered
Been itching to order this every day for the last couple of weeks but I'm going to wait to see if it pops up in the stores on Tuesday.
The only thing is that the Apple store is most likely to only carry the 2.66ghz model but not the higher 2.93ghz model.
