Mine has been sitting in Newark, NJ (about an hour drive from here) since Friday night. I'm hoping it gets on a truck in time for tomorrow. Scheduled delivery is Tuesday, but unless it's waiting for another truck it could definitely make it here earlier.

Can you post an image of your FedEx route, date and times?

Did it go direct from Anchorage to Newark, or did it stop somewhere else?

Mine was on the same flight as yours all the way to Newark I think. However, my tracking shows that it departed Newark at 8:46PM Saturday night. I'm in Buffalo, NY, so I'm not sure if there's another intermediate stop somewhere. I'm hoping it will be here tomorrow morning.

Usually things from NJ come to my area by truck in the middle of the night. At least that's the way it is with UPS. I'm assuming that's going to happen either tonight or tomorrow night.

Went from Anchorage straight to Newark. Here's the screen shot. All times are Eastern.

Anybody have a ship date from a third party reseller yet? PCConnection said their batch wouldn't arrive until first week of march. Thank goodness for conciliatory 2 day shipping upgrades.

Even though I'm in Australia, Apple are not returning any emails from my workplace whom is an Apple reseller about my 17" pro Unibody order progress. I'm under the impression that any sales from apple.com will get first priority because Apple will be making much more money from them then they would from a sale from a reseller.

It is a bit disgraceful that Apple whom was contacted mid last week by email have not replied. Usually they respond in 24hrs but 3 days is a bit of a disgrace.

Dont you have phones in your reseller store?

UPS issues

Anybody else have two "Departure Scan"s in Louisville with UPS? Seems odd to me that it would try (and fail) to leave twice. They also removed the delivery estimate from my shipment. Anyone else had that?

I think this was his obnoxious way of asking you if you could call Apple directly about your inquiry instead of waiting for email replies.

hmmm...

I wasn't asking anything...

I was making a point and that was;

Even businesses that have contacts with Apple and thus not having to go threw their public customer care service that Apple is still giving the cold shoulder on actual dates of delivery.

I have no idea how you managed to get what you did out of what I said?

The link was to confirm that there was no phones available where I work.

Enough of that. I'm being childish by replying to such a stupid post.

SSD and Matte orders

For you who ordered SSD or/and matte ... where are your stat at ?
Have it shipped, delivery date .... ???

Unbelievable

I called Apple today about my order and found out the following about my order:

2.93 GHZ
4GB RAM
320 GB, 7200 rpm
Glossy display

They have been delaying my 17" MBP because of a ridiculous sleeve I ordered that was out of stock (Brenthaven eclipse III).
I was supposed to wait another month for this thing (!).
Luckily, I had them seperate the order and ship the 17" ASAP, which I´m being told is in 3-4 days. Bugger all to the sleeve, I said. Give me my Mac!

So, just to let others that are waiting know: check your order for additional products: there may be an additional wait for them. Have Apple seperate them.

For the record:
The women I spoke to was both professional and friendly. And she offered to give me "a good will gesture" as soon as shipping details were in place. She constantly pointed to the shipping estimates at apple.com, as if I was supposed to understand why the delay by myself. I constantly answered that those estimates had changed continously for the last month or so.

Well, all in all a good morning phonecall, I say.

Cheers,
P

Well thats really interesting. I got my printer right away when i pre-ordered the MBP 17" Unibody with it, but just because the notebook isnt in stock they didnt hold shipment of my printer. Besides, its not like both ur case and the notebook are coming from China so I don't see the point of the hold up.

I think you read Mark2000's post wrong. He was telling you that he thought it was kastenbrust's way of asking you to call Apple instead of e-mailing them about your purchase order. Kastenbrust wasn't asking you about phones because he wanted one (I'm assuming). He was more likely asking you if there was a phone YOU COULD USE.

Germany just came in

09:30 UPS delievered :) Thursday off Shanghai, Monday in Germany, not bad for having a weekend in between :)
Right now migrating from my 15" MBP

That's quite encouraging. Mine was shipped to the UK on the 19th but the estimated delivery day according to the order status is the 1st March :(

Mine was first estimated for the 26th and then changed for the 23rd. The last time I ordered a MBP though, I had a Ipod on order also. It took 2 more days, because the MBP flew to Holland first to pick up the Ipod and only then was delivered to me.

That's exactly what mine says as well; "in Transit to Customer - Shipment on Schedule". It says estimated delivery date 27th Feb, no tracking details or anything! So annoying
I got my shipped email on 17th! still waiting... impatiently.

Same here (ordered 13 Jan, 2.93, 7200 BUT Applecare with 'Merge' here). I spoke to Apple where lady said 'problem' is not with Applecare BUT 1 week's delivery from China! She said I'd 'probably' get a tracking number tomorrow or Wednesday that would say 'Out for Delivery'!
Only good news is promise of free case due to delay AND if you apply 'British' time to delivery it's 26th-Thursday instead of Friday! Not very good news BUT...
This is so frustrating-think Apple really ought to be clearer about how their shipping process works-despite what Applelady said, I'm sure 'Merge in Transit' of anything causes delays. I'm very envious of those who know/knew there MBP is in Korea or Anchorage or Cologne!!!

do you have any updates on the fedex site other then 'picked up' and received after fedex cutoff? i have no other updates. stinks. for atlanta, they usually go from shanghai to anchorage, then anchorage to indy, then to atlanta, all in the span of 24 hrs. i guess maybe it didnt move y-day since it was sunday but i would of expected at least some update this morning.

I ordered it online on the 5th Feb. I had an estimation of the 16th March for delivery. I called Apple this morning and my laptop is prepared to shipment, shipping from Asia today or tomorrow. I should have it in my hands if I'm lucky at the end of this week or next week. It's good to see that Apple put some sort of buffer on the delay. This will be my first ever Mac and I can't wait to get it!

These are the specs of my order:
2.93GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
4GB 1066MHz DDR3 SDRAM 2X2GB
320GB Serial ATA @ 7200 rpm
SuperDrive 8X
DISPLAY-HI RES, GL,Widescreen

No Final Cut Exp Preinstalled

No Filemaker Preinstalled
No Microsoft Office Preinstall

Anyone have any ideas?

What does anyone think of this? Ordered on Jan 6th. No update from Apple. CC is fine and was authorized. Called Apple several times, been told that there is "nothing" wrong with the order, but I think something is because it still says it ships on Feb 19th.

Anyone ever seen their orders like this, or have any ideas on what to do next?

So mine is out for delivery, but still says Feb 24th (tomorrow by 10:30) so I'm not sure what time it will come. The only problem now is I rent and have back door entrance. I left a little sticky note on the front door telling the FedEx guy to use the back door. Hopefully he cares enough to do it, lol.

Otherwise, I can presign but that would involve going to my parents house to print the form because I don't have a printer here at the moment. If I do that though, I may might miss him.

Steve Jobs personally doesn't like Aussies--something about the 1983 America's Cup. He is sending it by ground transport.
