New MBP 17" delivery dates!

JUST ORDERED!! this will be my first mac, its the stock configuration (2.66/320gb/4GB/Glossy)

ordered today, 1st march, at 4.20pm, and at 5.20pm the order status changed to "prepared for shipment".....which is insanly quick.

Ordered: 1st march
Shipping: 7 business days (already says prepared for shipment, does that mean shipping tomorow, possible delivery by friday?)
Delivers: 12-13 march

Wow, that's really quick! I'm surprised because when I checked this afternoon it said 'ships in seven business days'.

If it's prepared for shipment already it should be with you by Friday at the very latest.

Congratulations on your first Mac. You'll love it! :D

wow theyre shipping really quickly now thats awesome... I had to wait over a month!
 
Congrats owen29051992, and everyone else receiving this beauty! I ordered my first mac yesterday
2.93/320@7200 it still says Not yet shipped, delivers March 10-16. I can't believe how excited I am. I actually made my first post!

Wow! that's a joke. I went in to Myer - Bris City to see if they had the 17" on display yet (they didn't) and they were running the MBA promo on every demo machine there... so it must be something they want to move... Personally i'd like to see them running a few tout's or even the keynote video's at random.. instead of just seeing the same old TV ad around the room running out of sync.

In other news my reseller has advised me he expects the machine to leave ?singapore? this week

"Here is the invoice for the Macbook Pro 17".

It should ship out from Singapore later this week. I will keep watching it."

Is he just speculating (and trying to shut me up) or would he have that information on some authority.
 
They took my money yesterday for my MBP, but still at not yet shipped. I have a stock config except the 7200rpm harddrive. Any ideas how long it takes for it to be shipped once they take the money off your credit card?

Mine shipped withing 48 hours... went from Shanghai to Anchorage to Memphis... is currently in transit from Memphis to...? Kansas City, I hope. Order said estimated delivery March 5-11, tracking number says estimated delivery on the 4th - which I tend to believe, since it's now stateside...

I wonder why some ship immediately and some don't? After Apple screwed up and I had to reorder on Feb. 24 it still has not shipped.
 
K I ordered mine on Feb 26 (Thursday), and my estimated delivery is Mar 6-12. However I checked my apple store account just now and it still hasn't processed or shipped. But my bank account showed that they already deducted the money and it is pending.

I thought apple doesn't take the money until it has actually shipped?

something along that road here too, i ordered 20/1 -09 and my computer is supposed to be built tomorrow, then shipped 6/3 to my reseller and I expect to have my umbp 17" around the 11/3.

that is what you get for using a reseller and living in sweden :/

I ordered mine as well on Feb 26 around 10am PST, and my status still says "Not yet shipped" and an estimate date of delivery is March, 6-12. Hopefully it will come this week. My bank account has been charged as well and I also thought once they charge you than they ship it to you.

Sigh, mine finally shipped, sorta... But looks like UPS had a glitch in Shanghai..

Still shows delivery this week....

Well here I go.

This is my first post on this forum after months of reading it. In some ways I fell a bit silly about this but just couldn't help myself.

I'd been waiting for the new 17" to come out and finally ordered it (while drooling of course) on 9 February.

Originally, Apple said it would be shipped on 16 March and I would get it on 26 March.

Then that all got sped up and they then informed me it would be shipped on 2 March leading of course to much rejoicing. It then all of a sudden got shipped out on 25 February with a planned delivery date on 9 March. Nevertheless, the Apple page seems to say I might get it tomorrow on 3 March.

Basically, I'm just going mad waiting for it to arrive although I'm a bit worried that once it gets here I won't get any work done for a few days, shame on me.

So anyway, I'm just waiting and dropping by here every now and then to admire other people's MBPs )and salivate a bit too I must admit)

Patience, patience....
 
mine has now been on "prepared for shipment" for almost a day now, is that normal? im guessing since china are ahead in time by so many hours that it wont ship until tomrow now, or is there likely to be more of a delay (will it ship on wednesday, thursday or as late as friday?)..how long did other people take to go from "prepared" to "shipped"?
 
Ordered from Apple EPP online on Feb 24th. (2.93, 320@7200, gloss) and 2-3 days shipping.

Last night around 10pm, I got the tracking email with an estimated delivery on march 5th

you work for Apple? I checked EPP a couple days ago; wasn't on there.
 
Ordered mine 31st Jan, made a huge fuss with em for ages and it got shipped on the 24th of Feb. Supposed to arrive this friday. With the glossy 17's I've seen in the stores, I think I'm sending it back on Monday :(:(. I WANT to like the Glossy but coming from a Matte, I'm just not sure.
 
the mbp 17 inch antiglare finaly arrived

And finnaly my MBP 17 inch AntiGlare have arrived . compared to the old 17 inch matte the new matte is much much brighter and much better screen overall.

Mine shows almost exactly the same thing. I currently have no delivery date listed, it was originally 3/5 but it now states "Exception".
