Congratulations fgd007!! It is your day. Hee haw hee haw![]()
That looks awesome! As another alternative to shoving toilet paper into your MBP, try enabling tap clicking. I do that currently on my last gen MBP, so don't use button much anyway.
This is the latest status of my MBP shipment:
"Your package has experienced an exception."
...which I can only guess means:

I'm glad to hear about sound, and also understand that headphone jack is better (no more noise). w00t, w00t!!
My order has been Priority 1 since Nov 5th with no more changes by me. I'm not sure what this exception is about, looks like its because the shipment was stuck two days in Shanghai between ORIGIN SCAN & HUB SCAN. Patience is a virtueAn Exception? What the hell, is it because of your orderchange or what?
If its too sensitive, hopefully Apple will fix it with a software update.I am really a fan of tap clicking and I already enabled it, however.... it is too sensitve! Can't change it...

btw did you make it look like your MBP plugs-in on the right side to test if we're awake?
I ordered the 2.4 MBP w. 4GB & an Ipod touch on October 30th and I'll probably have to wait til Nov. 19th. It says "Merge In Tnst NL Til", so I guess they will send both from Tillburg in Holland.
I got confirmation that it has been sent on Nov. 5 (from Shanghai I guess), wondering why it does take 2 weeks till it's here in Austria? Also there's no tracking no., so I can't even check where my package is now...
I ordered both because I want the student discount (get 125 if you order an ipod along with your mac). Can I apply for the discount now or do I have to wait for the package to arrive?
Hi Nipponfan,
We also don't know why shipping took/takes so extremely long...We concluded already tens of posts ago that they there must be some donkey transport involved between the production line and our homes. Also for me (I live just 30 km from Tilburg!!) it took 2,5 weeks, but luckily it arrived today (and it is great, i can tell ya!). So you will probably get it end of this week, or begin of next week, don't worry.
What the rebate concerned: you can apply for the rebate up to the end of November. You'll need to send them the original barcodes, along with an copy of your invoice and the rebate-form. So just wait until you get your MBP and iPod before you send them the application...
extra note: since it is a merged order you will not be able to track it until it leaves Tilburg, NL. You'll get an UPS tracking code in the orderstatus a few days before the delivery date.
Good luck!
The Dutch keyboard is almost exactly the same as the Int'l EN keyboard on Classic MBs. "num lock" on the F6 key = ""num vergr" on the Dutch keyboard. Since as I understand, the new MBPs don't have num lock, I don't know what the difference is anymore.
The most noticeable differences with the US keyboard layout is a different return key. On the US keyboard its the height of a normal key, the width of two keys instead of a thin upside down L-shape. Also the left shift key is wider. As a result the tilde "`"/"~" key is up by the "1" replacing the "§"/"±" key.

Wacht je op een nieuw MacBook (Pro)? De mijn is nog in China![]()
waarom spreken we geen Nederlands op dit draadje, alleen andere nl lezen het en het gebrekkige Engels (including mine) is alleen maar irritant.
nipponfan: rest assured that your delivery is being sent by motorized vehicle, not a donkey. The issue is the UPS vehicles use propane, and guess where the propane is:

And macrems wonderful cynism sounds more funny in English too...
How's your mbp?
Hmm, my MBP landed in Korea. I understood Korea is a waypoint for UPS flights to the US. Do UPS packages to Europe also go via Incheon? In the above example, it appears that apolloa's package went directly on one of UPS' five weekly flights from Shanghai to Cologne.I would keep a VERY close eye on the UPS tracking, my MB Pro has gone back to the place it left apparently:
