Those renders are pretty sweet, actually. I do wonder what the exact finish will look like on these devices when they are properly put together. I suspect the look and feel will be exceptionally high quality - Apple rarely releases a product, certainly not one as high profile as this, that doesn't feel expensive.

It will not disappoint.

There! Up there at the top! crowbar82's post. Those are some hot looking telephones, no?!

I mean, both white & black (light & dark?) versions look great! Look at the camera on the light one! That action looks fresh out of NASA!

Lovely! But then, I love everything new. New things are great. Much better than the old ones :p

Here's proof, if proof be need be:

New FTW...

Is it a well known fact? I'm not sure I can think of an example where Apple has leaked misleading product designs.

The childishness comes in the need to hype up utterly baseless conspiracy theories. We have seen so many leaks of this design from so many sources and have had reports backing up these leaks, the idea that this is some kind of big stunt for no purpose other than to give tech geeks something to talk about for a few weeks is absurd.

No, no, it's a well known fact. My friend, whose second cousin used to date the brother of the housekeeper of one of the grandparents of a security guard overheard the sister of the ex-boyfriend of a high-ranking Apple executive confirm it.

Well, some people will always be disappointed but then that's human nature. For me, this is starting to look like a very exciting update. A larger screen will be nice but it's not a big deal for me. The drastically thinner form factor, on the other hand, will make this phone even more pocket friendly. That's a bigger deal.

The two tone back of the new iphone is part of the innovation. That and the 5th row of icons. What really stands out is how Apple was able to move the headphone jack to the bottom. Must of taken them a full year to figure that out.

What has the iphone team been doing for the past year?

What benefit is it too apple to put their own money into all these "fake" leaks? Just pointless. Use some logic people. The majority of future owners have no idea that these images have been leaked. They aren't tech geeks like us.

Okay, so you've been playing with the new iPhone for 2 months? The PS3 was unveiled 2 years before it launched. Companies do this because they want to build hype.

No I haven't played with the new iPhone for 2 months . Apple is the one talking about secrecy, not wanting people to know what they got coming out and doubling down. I also stated one of the things about the iPhone was the anticipation of what it would look like and bring and the excitement to some to see it at the Keynote. At this rate there won't be any surprises. I think the iPhone already has it's anticipation ever year without the leaks so no need to build up to that.

I used the PS3 as something a kid would want for Christmas but wasn't sure he got one, nothing to do with the info about the PS3 being out 2 years before it was released.

You clearly don't understand the difference between the PS2 and PS3 vs iOS6 on 4S and iOS6 on the future next gen iPhone. You might get an extra row and perhaps some fun features to play with if NFC is included, but apart from the few extra features, yeh we've been playing with it for 2 months. Throw in a hypothetical video and you've pretty much all but lost all of the fun of opening the box. :p

We don't know yet, do we? We don't know what has gone into this new design. Why waste your time jumping to conclusions based on bad or incomplete data?

It looks to me that it would take a lot of work to redesign this phone so that it can be 7.6 mm thick and still include LTE, NFC, a bigger battery and all sorts of other gubbins. Or do you suppose all that is easy?

If you're so keen to be surprised at the keynote, don't you think visiting a rumours site is a bit self defeating?

In B4 the non-believer - in denial - "Why a taller iPhone???!!!?!!!?" crowd shows up.

MacRumor crowd lately:
"Why a taller iPhone?"
"I am still hoping for a 4.3 wider iPhone!!!"
"It looks like the 4S! I want a dramatic redesign!"
"It doesn't look comfortable!"
"Tim is doubling down on secrecy! These are fakes!"
"Why is the headphone jack on the bottom? That's so stupid and asymmetrical!"
"The design is awful! I'll be sticking with my 3GS!"

you also forgot the constants

"if it doesn't have *insert obscure feature* then NO DEAL!"
"well... looks like I'm getting an android phone!"

OK - new rule: anyone complaining about having the surprise ruined by all these leaks should be banned from visiting Macrumors. After all, they're the one's who want to be surprised - we'd be doing them a favour, no?

Personally it doesn't matter to me. I'm probably going to buy the Note2/S3 this time around if the leaks are proven true.

I was saying some people like the surprise but there are other forums here besides iPhone but a lot of the rumor stuff still pops up on the first page.

Some of you guys get too defensive about a phone:cool:

or it could be that hiding a car is somewhat harder ;)

Have you ever seen a BMW or Audi dressed in full camo. It's pretty hard to really discern the body from a Pontiac as the fine details, the ones that matter, are well, hidden. Even the head and taillights are faked. So I'm not really sure what your point is other than to be argumentative.
