The two tone back of the new iphone is part of the innovation. That and the 5th row of icons. What really stands out is how Apple was able to move the headphone jack to the bottom. Must of taken them a full year to figure that out.
What has the iphone team been doing for the past year?
In B4 the non-believer - in denial - "Why a taller iPhone???!!!?!!!?" crowd shows up.
MacRumor crowd lately:
"Why a taller iPhone?"
"I am still hoping for a 4.3 wider iPhone!!!"
"It looks like the 4S! I want a dramatic redesign!"
"It doesn't look comfortable!"
"Tim is doubling down on secrecy! These are fakes!"
"Why is the headphone jack on the bottom? That's so stupid and asymmetrical!"
"The design is awful! I'll be sticking with my 3GS!"
"Steve NEVER would have allowed this!"
"I am getting an Android phone!"

Hmm, still not happy with purely stretched lengthways screen (if it turns out to be like this design). The only real benefit is video in landscape orientation, but then I don't know many people who watch films on their phone - by far the main use is YouTube videos, but then the vast majority of YouTube videos I've seen aren't 16:9 either, they're 4:3. That leaves a lot of blank screen area if you're only stretching one way. :\

Almost half the length of the phone would be wasted space with a 4:3 image...

That is perfect to put advertising there. My YouTube channel has advertising and I sure hope that YouTube/Google will get their act together and finally use that space for it. It's "free" to watch them but both the ones making the videos and Google only make money if someone clicks on the adds. But don't worry - if you watch my channel on YouTube, its 100% widescreen.![]()
They've been asking Siri what improvements they could make to the next iPhone.
If these leaks are proven to be true. This has to be one of the worst kept secrets. One of the things about the iPhone I think for most people is the anticipation of what it will look like and features.
The rate it's going I almost expect to see someone showing a video of a full working model before the Sept date LOL.
It's almost like asking for a PS3 for Christmas, finding it in your parents closet and playing with it 2 months before Christmas while they're gone to work and then trying to act surprised come Christmas morning.
Me too, but considering we're nearly just a month out of the apparent announcement, I'd be willing to bet this is (unfortunately) real.
I just think rumor sites are just plain gullible. Nothing special about Tim's secrecy.
What doubling down of secrecy?
Also:
"I'm still hoping this is all some kind of trick."
What has the iphone team been doing for the past year?
Notwithstanding the avalanche of info pointing to this being the new phone, as I've posted elsewhere, I still can't wrap my head around this being the phone Jony has been working on for two years and that Steve ultimately made a priority up to his final days. It just doesn't make sense to me.
Do you really think its possible 450,000 people can be searched every day ?!![]()
What benefit is it too apple to put their own money into all these "fake" leaks? Just pointless. Use some logic people. The majority of future owners have no idea that these images have been leaked.

D.T. said:Side note: the idea that asymmetric design elements, are, well, bad design is a little silly.
Really? Almost 90% of the videos i watch on Youtube are 16:9. No cameras in the last couple of years were sold with the aspect ratio of 4:3.
