iWatch

Possibly a similar color of an iWatch? Many people have gold watches. Why not make your phone match?

Honestly, I think gold sucks. If Apple makes a gold iPhone, I will cry.

It's nice to see the Tony Montana demo will be covered here.

In all seriousness.....I hate it. But, then again, I hate the white one too. Different strokes for different folks. I'm assuming they aren't doing this in a vacuum though. There has to be some sort of market research saying this will sell.

Guess time will tell.

ew.

thats all i have to say about that.

with iOS and this, and the nano. jony ive's losing genius points fast.

Cool, a £500 iPhone in a colour that screams "MUG ME!"

That said, isn't it possible that this is just the colour they spray them before they coat it in black or white?

If this is Apple's idea of innovation they're done

Sorry tkhan456 for quoting you twice but unfortunately forum moderator was upset with my post and it seems to have been removed or perhaps it was automatic. My comment to your quote was "Seriously...?" and it is against the rules to post with a single word even thou that is all that needed to be said and one word did the job of 10.
Now to Moderator...Seriously? When was the last time you have checked the language and content of the posts containing more than one word? This forum has many posts that are racial, use inappropriate language, and are just plain inappropriate not youtube inappropriate but still fairly bad sometimes. So either get off your high horse or enforce all of the forum rules.
Now this is to the rest of the forum members... There are many many informative and entertaining post from in this forum from many of you. Also some very interesting opinions. So please do not get offended by what i have said as most likely my dissatisfaction is not directed toward you nor tkhan456

If this is Apple's idea of innovation they're done

Is that what they said? Did apple say this is their example of innovation? with leaks of the new processor, info of not only a bio-reader, but a completely innovative way to read layers of skin but you point to a new device colour you may not like as an example of lack on innovation? Find a new bridge to hide under, will ya? We have one too many trolls as it is.

Yes, but use your brain. Too many people here saying this is for the ME...when logic dictates if this gold phone is for anybody, it is for the Chinese. But it is fun, acceptable and bit funny in western culture to dis on the ME these days...and people here protest in mass to this idea because they do not want to accept the fact that ME racism is accepted...

Does anybody not follow the business side of Apple? THIS PHONE IS FOR THE CHINESE.

Thank you Mr. Spock. :D

If it's going to be gold, it's going to need one of these two on the back to make sense:

Damn, the comments here really set a new record for stupidity. It's a color-option, get over it. Don't like it, don't buy it. iPod mini also came in gold, in case you forgot. And like it or not, iPhone is a global product, and in some markets gold will sell like hotcakes.

I've been hoping for a long time that Apple would make a (RED) one, seems a lot more logical and better looking than a gold one.

Reminds me of my 1997 JVC DVD player, complete with component out and compulink.

I thought I was the coolest kid on the block until they discontinued it due to poor sales.

just wondering, but where's the Apple Logo ?

arent they usually cut out by that point in assembly?

Apple has lost its aesthetic barometer or whatever you want to call it. They got huge based on that sense of style/presentation/psychology and now they've lost touch.

The Apple slow motion self-destruction continues apace.
