I'm not sure Samsung can grasp this but here it is... when you purchase something from a company, you are identifying with that company on some level. Generally people who purchase from Apple, acquire or expect to have some level of social association with Apple. The Apple persona is smart, trendy, young, etc. Maybe a bit cocky, but generally trying to help others.
The Samsung persona is sort of like that kid in high school that is constantly trying to be like the other cool kids and is loud and obnoxious. Nobody really likes him, except the other people who don't fit in with the hip and socially adjusted crowd. This kid cheats on all his tests and claims he can perform feats of athletics and sexual prowess beyond anyone else's expectations.
But really, he's just a sore loser. A sad, sad, sad waste of a being.
Now... who would you want to associate with?
or
Apple : Elitist
Samsung : copycat
You may find that more than anyone, its Apple customers that have a desire to be cool. Getting an Apple product = instant cool factor.
Apple ain't helping anyone, they are in it to make $$$$. And they are very good at it.
Its the vain customers, and thier appreciation of Apples cool design and image that makes them flock to the company. Look how huge the gold iphone was in asia, it was an status symbol.
