No problem
Thank you for taking the time to read my first post, checking out my profile, quoting my post and then adding your two cents to it!
Yeah, I jumped on the bandwagon late. I had a 3g, then went to the galaxy s2. Got the iphone 4 and returned for the s3. Now i've had the 5s and had the battery issue. I absolute love apple hardware (build quality and materials) but the software is killing me. I hate having to virtually no customization on iphone and the iphone 6 really seems to underwhelm (spec wise) when compared to flagship android phones.
Now that android phone makers are putting priority on vanilla OS's and upping build quality I don't see any reason for me to stick around![]()
The 5S didn't have the reported battery issue; that was the 5 sold between November 2012 and January 2013, so you may have a different battery issue.
Also, when it says "newbie" on the forum ranking, it almost begs for inspection, and the fact that you signed on to post once trashing the iPhone, plus other circumstantial evidence of Samsung trolls doing likewise (I know how this works; in political forums, people do this all the time; the "poop and scoot" mentality), I just was calling you out on it.
Thank you (this is sincere) for your well thought out response, and countering my points, as this is a good thing that the android is doing plain vanilla builds, to let users decide on what they want on their phones. This does bring up an interesting dilemma, where the phone companies put that stuff on there for (let's just say) noble reasons, so the inexperienced user can get going quickly, but the more experienced users don't need the apps. I know on my work phone (non-google or iPhone), the crapware just sits there, because every time I touch it, I get this message that tells me that "data rates will apply, are you unsure that you do not want to not do this?" Heck, I'm an engineer, and I have to parse out what they're saying.
Anyways, I do hope you stay. I'll be hoping for a 6+ on Friday.
