Sorry I was editing to add another line but safari on ios8 froze and locked up again. I had to go view Twitter till it unlocked :(

The bend is a deliberate design so it flies right round the toilet bowl and dissaoears forever. Puts an end to water damage claims. Users then need to buy s whole new iPhone. Apple wins. They are so smart haha

Don't forget the teenage mutant ninja turtles win as well.

Can't think of a single scenario where carrying this phone in my front pocket or sitting with the phone in my front pocket can apply 70 lbs force on the phone's center. There's just no way. When I sit, my front pocket is pretty loose. The phone can even move freely inside.

Not everyone uses loose pants 24/7 like you, not all pockets are the same :) I had a Note 3 early this year and the phone stick out in most of my jeans (the 6 plus is a bit bigger).

I'm not talking about instant bend the moment you put in your pocket, more like on the long run when you had done this hundreds of time and sitting with the phone in your pockets (I know you always take your phone out of your pocket when you sit.....)

Without a case at some point it will give in, it's simple and I'm just tired of explaining the same thing everytime.

Enjoy your phone! IL do the same.

Fake or real, it's definitely affected the sales of the iPhone Plus. Now wether the size of the phone has affected the sales more, we don't know.

I do know that looking at the reservation system (UK) I can currently go and reserve a plus for collection today, the standard iPhone 6 sells out within minutes.

From what I can see the iPhone 6 plus can suffer from 2 major weaknesses. 1. The point around the volume controls. 2. The person that owns it.

I own quite a few expensive items that if I tried I could break quite easily. I don't try, because I'm not stupid and I was taught to take care of my things.

That we now have people going around purposely bending phones (of any brand) in order to gain money or hits on the internet shows how low we as a society have now gone for a little bit of fame. When I was younger, people knew what 'shame' was, no longer the case apparently.

Some expensive items are technically rubbish and inferior to cheaper items. Gold compared to scratch-proof ceramic, for example. (Rolex v Rado).

Apple are making a technological product that is typically used daily and kept in pockets.

Being 'expensive' is by the by. Apple's phone will bend at around half the force it takes a comparable Samsung phone. The YT'er has contributed to knowledge and debate and highlighted the issue. Good on him.

My UK preorder is not until mid October. How can I reserve to pick it up tomorrow ?

CR did not debunk him or ANYONE! ...Grab your or whoever's iPhone 6 Plus, grip it as he did, and try and bend it. Do it. Do it now. And if you don't do it, then respectfully shut up and forever hold your peace.

Tell you what. I am going to grab my iPhone. And put it in my pocket. And then put it against my ear and talk into it. And hold it on one hand and press the screen with the other. I may occasionally drop it from about 3-4 feet by mistake.

In other words, I am going to USE it. So it is you who can "respectfully" shut up and go back to playing with flip phones.

WRONG!

the 6 and 6 plus are pretty much sold out worldwide with backorder waits of up to 4 weeks.

this guy must live in LaLa land....

Although this may have been blown out of proportion and most iPhones won't get bent (!), there's no denying that this gen wasn't built as robustly as it could. Afterall, apple as well as many other manufacturers boast about having toughened glass (gorilla) yet in normal use any old glass or plastic shouldn't break. So the question has to be asked - why bother using gorilla glass at all? Why not just be extra careful with the phone?

That's pretty much vandalism. You could go into a carrier store and bend/damage any of their display devices too. That's not unique to iPhones so what's your point?

context. read what I was replying to.

If I sit on my phone it will probably bend? NOSH*T. I just punched my 40" TV. The screen isn't working anymore, what should I do?

Obviously, make a video about it!

Exactly. You are supposed to take care of your expensive stuff. I mean, really. People have no respect for anything that they buy anymore and blame everyone else when it breaks. Take care of your ****, people.

Go vols.

Really? Another video? Come on... Move on... This guy is trying to make a point where he can't.

You hear those gasps it's the last effort of those who are still trying to make it an issue. The public has started to move on and people are still buying the plus. Let their issue die with anger . It's fun

You can do that in an att store to an htc one m8 . But do you try to bend it ?

course not. Not my property. Context.

WRONG

Each night I checked the apple reserve site and I could have almost any Plus I wanted, indeed today up until about 11am, I could have walked in to the Apple Store here and picked up a 16gb Plus.

The only reason I didn't order last night was because they had every single 6 except 64gb and this morning only 128gb left.

So i don't know where you're getting your info from but it's WRONG.

Did someone already point out how he got to the home screen ?

Phone was not new. He tampered with it. Should be in set up mode of it was recently unboxed.

I think the people saying that he tampered with the phone are fooling themselves. I think it's likely that you can break the phone by trying really hard to bend it. But here's the kicker... Why on earth would you do that? I can break my MacBook Air even easier by bending the screen back too far, so I don't bend the screen back.

I don't like what this guy's doing because he's giving the impression that the phones are super flimsy and easily broken, when in fact you have to know just where to put the pressure and then do it quite hard on purpose for it to break. The real question we have to ask is what the long-term durability of these phones will be like, and I don't think anybody really knows that at this point.

Try getting any 64 or 128GB big boy!

I went out and lightly tapped my car with a hammer and it left a ding and damaged the paint.

In fact out of curiosity just browsed every single store in that list

You get one or two stores with 16GB IPhone plus.

You have one store with 128GB in gold. Might just be the one phone, you don't know quantities

Rest of stores have all stock sold out.

Internet store has a 4 week backlog.

----------

Oh I see, you're changing the argument now.

But can you not read? There's a 128 available NOW!

Yeah they might have the one 128GB phone.

To claim they're not selling like hot cakes, when in general every single store on that list has no stock whatsoever and the online store has a backlog of 4 weeks, is wrong and you know perfectly well that
