Wikileaks pushed the pizzagate nuttiness, so anyone with sanity questioned them and their integrity. The DNC hack was definitively by Russian hackers.

What you say is false.

This conspiracy theory emerged near the end of the 2016 United States presidential election cycle. BuzzFeed News traced its origin to a tweet written by a "reputed white supremacist" on October 30, 2016 that claimed the New York City Police Department, which was searching emails found on Anthony Weiner's laptop as part of an investigation into his sexting scandals, had discovered the existence of a pedophilia ring linked to members of the Democratic Party.[4][5]Internet users reading John Podesta's emails released by Wikileaks in early November 2016 speculated that some words in Podesta's emails were code words for pedophilia and human trafficking.[2][6] The theory also proposed that the ring was a meeting ground for satanic ritual abuse

It amazes me people still push unfounded theories about Trump. It seems like the way politicians are covering themselves is by pushing narratives that accuse their opponents of what they in FACT have done. It gets picked up and repeated all over the place organically as well as through paid social media campaigns. A lot of what you read has been generated by zombie/drone/bot accounts.
.

The thing is , Trump has lied openly countless times. Its pretty hard to trust a man who lies automatically. This is the same man who said Obama wasn't American, said Cruz's dad was involved in JFK assisnation, said he won most electoral votes, claimed 3 million illegals voted for Hilary, lied about inauguration crowd and these are the lies I can just think of off the top of my head.

How can we trust a man who lies daily?

Another subject from this discussion. If the CIA did as you suggested, all the information could not be used in any court in the US against Johnny Arkansas. Now the problem, The CIA would need to pass the information to the FBI who would need to get a warrant. The judge would ask where did you get this information? Oops, caught with hand in cookie jar. Only on extreme National Security issues would your example ever be attempted. Too many gottchas for the rewards. Some might define what you are saying as paranoia.
This is a common problem and something that is dealt with via parallel constructionism. Google it and you will see it is how they get around improper collection.

No, sorry. It's been definitely proven the Russian interfered in our election.

Most likely, no. The one benefit of our electoral system is that we have so many different voting machines, many of them old school paper ballots, so it's hard to do. Russian hackers have been target state voter registration systems, but no one knows why.

Wikileaks pushed the pizzagate fake news, so yes.

Yes, the non-scandal over the DNC emails certainly had an effect on our election, distracted from Trump's tape admitting to sexual assaulting women.
so glad Hillary lost, anyways Yax showed you just how wrong you are.

Oh, so now Wikileaks is a good source again? All that stuff leading up to the election was just alt-right craziness. Ok.

(No, I didn't vote for Trump and don't trust him.)

I don't think anyone ever doubts Wikileaks information. Their information is accurate most of the time. But its the intention behind the leaks that worries people.

Also some of the information leaked is damaging to people's lives. Like for example, there were some leaks a few months back where gay Saudi men were outed. This ruined their lives and reputation. Then there was a Wikileak that showed Steve Job's medical records that showed he was HIV positive. That is personal information that should have never been released.

Different budgets lead to different capabilities. I don't think that every other nation on Earth with technology has the same budget as the U.S.. Some might, like China or Russia, but the vast majority has to make do with a significantly smaller budget.
Yes, that's why I said if they don't have it now they are developing it. I'd imagine most of the 1st world countries have similar and many of the oil rich areas or areas where the people are routinely suppressed (eg. North Korea).

Give me a break. Hillary is married to a man who has been assaulting women since college, but good mindless Clinton lovers don't care at all. I'm so sick of this crap. I almost puked when I saw Hillary nodding with approval as Elizabeth Warren gave a speech blasting Trump for "assaulting" women. Um, reality check. Bill was first accused of rape over 50 years ago. He has a documented and verified history of abuse. But Trump is the one who assaults women? Puke. Hillary is a disgrace to women and the public saw through it.

But by all means, keep focusing on the propaganda you're being fed. Keep focusing on the bad Russians hacking, NOT the content of those hacks. No wonder our country is going down the tubes. The public would rather blame the boogeyman Russians than take a cold hard look at the scum they've been supporting.

So which President do we blame this on?

Or an even better question is did a President even know? The more bits of info dribble out, the more I am willing to believe in a shadow state operating without the President or Congress even knowing about it.

Thank Vladimir Putin for this latest information op against the US.

I've long been critical of the way our CIA are allowed to operate without any congressional oversight, but if a foreign power attacks our CIA then it's game on.

Also note how this op dovetails with Trump's attacks on the CIA. It's almost like Trump and Russian intelligence coordinate their attacks. My prediction is that the traitor will die in prison while dumping in a stainless steel bowl.

And are you not so sure the "Russian" issue is not a diversion from the Dems to cover their tracks? Keep in mind, none of the reports of Trump, or Trump people colluding with Russia have been verifiable or confirmed. In fact, most have been debunked along the way as being total BS or business as usual meetings.
In most political scandals, what people eventually fall over is the coverup and lying about it. Not the original deed.

Yea, those FISA courts are a real beacon of upholding civil liberties.

Tell me, do you know what a National Security Letter is?

WikiLeaks published the opposite: to not take Jobs' alleged files at face value, while CNN published them.

Climate change is fake? Sometimes I think someone left the macrumors forum open on a computer in a mental hospital. Jesus Christ. How did our education system fail this hard?

Will maybe you should read about the number of fake reports regarding climate change, not from some unknown but from the UN no less. Almost every major article about global warming had been debunked by science if you care to look.

People don't give up their freedoms unless they are told that it is a crisis, for example, terrorism or global warming.

Bush did this with the Patriot Act and the media went right along with it as well as most people. It was one of the single biggest attacks on our freedom ever.

Obama and Gore did it with Global Warming and Obama with Health Care with the same result. In this case the target was to enrich the political elites and make the cost of living a middle class lifestyle tremendously more expensive. Everyone that studies history knows that in order for absolute government power the government has to destroy the middle class and limit their freedoms. This is going on all around us, but a least 50% of the people don't want to hear it, or deal with it.

The media has been very effecting getting at least half the people in the US to believe crisis after crisis that just do not exist.

I don't think anyone ever doubts Wikileaks information. . . . .

But still rather than talk about the information released, half the country will attack the messenger. History says this happens when people want to divert away from the truth.
