What is the matter with me, I need help. Seriously. I must have filled this form in 20 times, even a baby chimp would have figured it out by now & gone back to scratching their....

I feel the same way, but am certain the real monkeys here are O2; they send a text message out to everyone saying "go to the website" and the stupid thing falls over almost immediately.... What's worse, it seems to phase in and out of usability so people are typing their credit card details in many times over and have no idea whether they've actually secured an iphone or not... I'm getting annoyed with this now

O2 IT are the monkeys and they ARE sitting there scratching their.....

to the people that said you can not upgrade in the store on Friday....

'The iPhone 3G will then be available for upgrade from 11th July at 8.02am in any of our O2 high street stores. Any stores in shopping centres will open at their usual times."

at the bottom of the page.....

I think most of us who are whining the hardest (including myself) are upgrading from Iphone to Iphone 3g? The in store upgrade is for existing O2 customers on other handsets ;)

ok I got through on the fail back site but I didn't get a confirmation email or out.

My thinks this ain't going to work.

Fallout page works even if you leave it blank, just tick the accept terms box. But it's not actually creating an order from what I can tell

Very nice. I really hope us existing US iPhone customers can activate our new 3G iPhones via iTunes.

That text is under the "New to O2" heading. Not "O2 Customers". So seems its new customers only.

damm site still doon ggggrrrrrrr they said it b fixed by now..

"within the hour" i what hour though.......

Possibly eureka, but not holding my breadth - "Thank you for your order. We are processing this and will contact you if there are any complications with the details you have provided." This was purely on the "failover" text field screen, not the AJAX one!

From O2 homepage:

"Due to huge demand for iPhone 3G, we are currently out of stock online. Check back on July 10th for more info".

I've been trying, as have most on here, since about 9 this morning, and have got to various stages, but been unsuccesful.

I really doubt they've managed to sell enough online to be out of stock!

are you selecting a tab, as i cant see that? am i being thick? i do see on the O2 customers tab this statement though;

"*Best of all, the new 8GB iPhone won't cost you a penny on our £45 and £75 tariffs. And it's just £99 on our £35 tariff and new £30 tariff. This special early upgrade offer is only available online at o2.co.uk until 11th October 2008.
"

Sold out?! HOLY ***** ****!

I am absolutely shocked to hell, that they have screwed this up so bad.

I have been with o2 for as long as I can remember. Right now I want to cancel all my contracts with them.

I've waited so long for this day. I was sat at my PC when I got the text and I tried and tried for 7 hours now? and all for ****ing nothing.

Yet the non-iphone fans, the ones who just decided suddenly they want one, can walk in to the store friday and pick one up.

What an absolute farce :(

Anyone else notice the weird tariff plans?

"£30 a month
75 mins 125 texts"

"£35 a month
600 mins 500 texts"

What the hell?

Don't bother trying - all sold out

Ok heres the deal. Just spoke to O2 select customer services and they have run out of all i-Phones. No more for several weeks. Been promised that if you are an existing i-Phone customer you can upgrade in store on Friday (as long as you're there early enough that they haven't run out).
Maybe true maybe not. They don't seem to have a clue most of the time about anything. You pays your money you takes your chances!

I called O2 on the number provided above and spoke to a manager and he said that they cannot process the order, it HAS TO BE DONE ONLINE. Aparently it can't be bought in an Apple Shop, Carephone Warehouse or O2 Shop as they can't do upgrades.

I really hoping your all calling up to complain. This is totally unacceptable. Give them ***** on the phone guys
How childish. Please don't. Why don't you write them a rational and thoughtful letter, which is bound to be more persuasive than an emotional rant to an innocent customer services person, and has the added benefit of not blocking the telephone lines for those of us who might need to discuss aspects of our order over the phone.

I wouldn't even bother with the iPhone until it's at least 32GB anyway. I have to juggle space on my iTouch as it is.

This should be split into two threads. One for the NZ launch, and one for the UK online preorder whining.

After all, for every New Zealander there are 15 Brits, 70 US citizens, 5 Australians, 8 Canadians, and 0.04 Guamians.

I'm feeling outnumbered - except for the Guamians.

Don't you just love the consistency. Hopefully someone will be able to report them for ad standards breach, however it is unlikely!

Come on Apple, announce you are going to sell them in-store, never trust the channel, they just don't adhere to your quality standards no matter how tough you are with them!!!!

Just got this using the failover form: "Thank you for your order. We are processing this and will contact you if there are any complications with the details you have provided."

Do you guys think that I have successfully ordered?
