Show me how to wirelessly charge an iPhone anywhere without adding bulky external cases.

The 'all-in-one' solution.

And yet my pockets remain the same size.

Looks like I might just pick up a 4s after the price drop.

You will barely notice the increase in height... it's less than a CM.

But if this new iPhone is the same width and only slightly taller.... how on Earth do people handle those monster phones from other manufacturers?

They must really have some large pockets...

2011 - "I WANT A 4" SCREEN! I WANT A 4" SCREEN ELSE I'M SWITCHING TO ANDROID!!!"

2012 - 4" iPhone rumors appear "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ITS HORRIBLE, NOOOOOOO I DON'T WANT IT"

I was hoping for a bigger screen than 4" but it will do...

as for the new mini dock, this is the reason I've re-framed from getting any docking device which could be obsolete for the iPhone in a few weeks. I've been looking at getting a new head unit for my car and while it have a USB port you just plug in any suitable lead there is still the possibility it might not be compatible with the next iPhone, even if you can plug in the lead.

I've gone through that before with another car charger that works fine on the classic iPod but would would with the iPhone. It can play music through the FM radio but won't charge the iPhone, which is half the reason for the device.

I don't care about the back as I'll be getting a cover anyway.

7.6mm is impressive. But it doesn't change the fact that this phone is too long/tall.

I've said it before. I think we'll see Apple release two new iPhones. I don't think Apple will abandon the current size. I just hope that both models will have LTE. Maybe the 4S will receive nothing new except LTE but that would be fine with me. They can call it the 4GS.

I don't think I understand all these case manufacturers, do they really make so much more money by simply releasing cases for new phones that haven't even come out yet so early? It's baffling to me that so many people eat up these cheap and ugly cases before they even get the phone, let alone the number of them that buy the cases afterward. Not to mention that many want the latest and greatest to show off and the ugly cases kind of diminishes that. I guess I have a biased view though because I tend to never use cases of any kind.

OK - An extra row of icons in SpringBoard. Good. But what will be on the extra screen space when you run an app? Notifications? iAds? Your *ing FaceBook status?

I like the look of the phone. Even the two-tone back. I hope to get the white/silver version and put a clear blue TPU case over it. Can't wait till I get to use the phone at a NFC POS! It will be almost as exciting as the first time I used an ATM in 197... God I'm old.

I really hope the next iPhone is the same thickness and just has a larger battery.

Hopefully, it will actually have better battery life despite being thinner. There should be power savings to be had by using a more advanced A5 processor, as well as a reduction in power used by the display thanks to IGZO. Being taller also compensates for the thinness in terms of internal volume.

but 'they' also did not have photographs of said claims.

This year, they ahve photographs, videos and now the latest iOS6 resolution changes.

Oh, I agree that the proof we are getting this year seems to be legit and what to expect. I was just mentioning the debacle in rumors from last year that were all over the map.

Yes, given the number of people who are paranoid of scratching/dropping their new iPhones. They'll take whatever case is available at the moment and worry about picking a better case later.

For those who don't know... "Apple Daily" (aka 苹果日报) is just a regular newspaper company in Taiwan like New York Times, Washington Post, or LA Times... the name "Apple" has nothing to do with our beloved Apple brand.

I'd much rather my iPhone in a case than smashed on the floor if it's dropped, I've had my 3Gs for 2.5 years and took the case off for about the 4th time last night, it's like new underneath.

I guess it's like people buying seat covers or floor mats for there car, the only time they see it is when leaning or years later when selling it.

It would be awsome if the new connector was of the magsafe type! Any rumours about that?

I put an S3 in my pocket at the store and it fit just fine.

Unless you have unusually small pockets, those large phones should fit.

SIII is 8.6MM
Nexus is 9.8MM
OneX is 8.9MM
Razr is 7.1MM

I'm impressed. 7.6MM is VERY thin. I played with the S3 and immediately said, "Wow, its thin."

I think Razr needs an asterisk next to it. It has that bulky camera area which will help Apple to claim they are the thinnest.
