this debate really depends on the user. I switched from the 3gs to the nexus and quickly came back to the 3gs after a month. While the phone looked good on paper, it ultimately lacks the polished and dependable iphone os.
The nexus does have a better screen and is thinner, but i like the overall look of the iphone. the nexus looks "vanilla" compared to the iphone. The battery cover also about after a month of use got a bit loose and developed a soft spot that you could push in. I did like the screen much better though, so no comparison there. The screen is much more rich and vibrant.
overall, android felt rough. I had lots of forced close issues, gtalk disconnecting on its on, live wallpapers not working correctly, wifi not auto connecting to saved networks, haptic keys kept getting pushed where they should not have been (super annoying when texting) and prob a t-mobile issue, but 3g reverted to edge even if the area had 3g.
the OS also lacked the ease of use like the iphone OS. copy and paste isnt as great as the iphones, keyboard is is weaker (i tried other keyboards as well), market place is weaker (updates to programs are a joke. it removes all user information first).
apps in general are weaker for android, facebook being one of them. the native mail app also lacks push, minus gmail.
i did like google navigation, however its not really practical with the weak battery and low voice output. google voice great for voicemail (although not instant like visual voicemail) and voice to text works well as well.
overall, i agree with statement that apple only introduces features once they have perfected them. android felt like many areas were in beta and still being developed.
