Nexus One switchers?

Not so. I've not found any app that wipes your user information for an update. Works a dandy. Only thing I would like is an "update all apps" option rather than doing one by one.
Alright, after watching numerous demos and reviews on YouTube and reading through various stories about the N1, I'm almost ready to pull the trigger.
I'm still worried about all of the reports of problems (mainly with 3G reception and the touchscreen). Are these being blown out of proportion by a few loudmouthed consumers who received faulty units? Obviously any mass produced electronic device will have a few bad apples here or there. Hopefully that's the case with the N1. Have any of the switchers had any issues whatsoever?

Yes. I have absolutely no touchscreen or 3G issues at all. Mine has been on 3G and stayed on 3G since I got it.
Thanks! That's correct. $529 isn't that bad. I paid $500 two weeks ago for a unlocked Blackberry Bold 9700. Hopefully my N1 will be here by Tuesday. I doubt it'll be here on Monday, even though I ordered around 10PM on Saturday night. Do you have a case? I just ordered the Seidio Innocase II in black.

Hmm. Well, if I can recoup the money on ebay in July when the next iPhone arrives, this may be a wise investment. Unload my 3GS now for maximum value and then get the new iPhone when it comes out (and completely coincides with my contract renewal).

Same here. My 3G has been soligd and only goes to EDGE when I switch to 2G only. I'm thinking the N1 3G issue is limited to Tmobile becasue of its inferior network.
I thought about switching, but until Verizon gets something that I like... I won't be leaving my iPhone
I received the nexus one yesterday that I ordered for a back-up phone. The screen is inaccurate, I touch here and it registers there?? The screens hue is way off, and forget being able too see what you're doing on the screen outside! Maybe I'm just spoiled as too the quality of the 3gs, or maybe this acceptable for some people. At any rate, I don't see what the hype is. Off the bat, I think it's a subpar phone trying hard to be as smooth and accurate as the iPhone. Meh, I'll give it a couple day's, maybe it will grow on me.
Because it's better to have a device supported directly by Google. If you look at whats going on with the Motorla Droid and Verizon, they are waiting for Android 2.1 update and can only get it when Verizon says so. Droid owners were supposed to recieve the 2.1 update on thursday but Verizon decided to pull the plug the last minute. It's going to be like that with AT&T, Desire owners are going to get delayed updates while Nexus One owners will get OS updates as soon as Google releases them no matter what provider they are with.
Word is Verizon is getting the Nexus One on the 23rd this week.

This is the worry with Android.
There is a growing issue of splintering and forking of the OS. There are many Android phones running 1.5 and 1.6 and only two running 2.x. There are a lot of people who don't like what is happening. They want to see everything on the same page...
But that would never happen. The real issue is that they're still being released with 1.5 when 2.1 should be the standard.
not like a google branded phone will receive all the updates since most times the new code is written by another company for a specific new phone release that may not be fully compatible with older phones.
and with only 150,000 N1's sold so far it's still a wait and see if Google will continue to support it
I'm pretty sure Google will keep supporting the phone. And considering that the phone is still being announced on different carriers, those numbers are set to go up(all four US carriers have plans to get phone)

Quality of the 3gs, are you f'in kidding buddy?!?!?! 32 GB 3GS White iPhones have YELLOW screens.....yeah, thats quality.
They just need to stop with the constant fragmentation if they want to remain successful in the long run, it's getting borderline ridiculous.
I feel the quality if my black 32GB 3GS os very good. Quality. I can say. You don't feel the same about yours?
