I love the Colts. Just imagine if they were all healthy...

Whew. What a game. Just goes to show that you cannot let off the gas when you're playing Indianapolis.

Ah... Good try Houston. That PI call on the opening drive of the 2nd half was total BS.

I'm an avid Colts fan and I completely agree with you. That ball was NOT catchable. Yes the defender held *a little* but even still, it wasn't catchable. Pretty lousy call if you ask me.

Close game, Sunday night. I didn't expect the Steeler's 3rd string QB to do so well and he may have to carry them into the playoffs. Their #1 guy had a serious concussion and their #2 guy suffered a small break, so I don't see either of them at their best anytime soon.

The only time I have seen a 3rd string guy do well was with Steve Bono with the 49ers. Usually a 3rd string guy isn't called up, and rarely do they make a career as a starter after they get the top spot.

That was about as phantom a PI call as I've ever seen. Seems to happen every week in the NFL. Hopefully over the next few weeks,a call like that won't have an influence on the outcome of a game. Especially in the post season..

And I didn't expect Ward to call out the franchise QB in a pregame interview and questioning his toughness:
"This game is almost like a playoff game," Ward told NBC's Bob Costas. "It's almost a 'must' win. So, I can see some players or some teammates kind of questioning like, 'Well, it's just a concussion. I've played with concussions before. I would go out there and play.' So, it's almost like a 50-50 toss-up in the locker room. You know, should he play, shouldn't he play. It's really hard to say.

"I've been out there dinged up. The following week, got right back out there. You know, Ben practiced all week. . . . To find out that he's still having some headaches and not playing and it came down to doctor's didn't feel that they was gonna clear him. . . . It's hard to say, unless you're the person. . . . I've lied to a couple of doctors saying 'I'm straight, I feel good,' when I knew I'm really not straight. But I don't think guys really about the future when they're playing currently in the NFL. . . .

"Trust me, the players, they wanna go out there because these games, you don't get back. You're never gonna get this Baltimore-Pittsburgh game back."

The guys on the set couldn't believe it when he said that. You don't mess around when it comes to a concussion.

Go Chargers! :D

Chargers are playing some good football right now. And are finding their stride at just the right time. Colts are lucky they aren't facing them in the regular season this year. The Chargers flat out own them, regular and post season..

All I can say is HOLY COW! I can't believe how incredible the Saints looked. Breeze posted a perfect QB rating and sliced up the Pats like he was carving Thursday's turkery. Their defense blanketed everthing effectively neutralizing Moss and got lot's of pressure on Brady while only rushing three lineman most of the night. I think we all thought the Saints were good, but this takes it to a whole new level.

I know we've still got five weeks to go, but it's incredible to think that we could see a Colts vs. Saints superbowl with two undefeated teams. I know that with the Vikings, Chargers, and some other teams that this outcome is slim, but the fact that it's even a possibility is blowing my mind.

I loved the sign some Saints fan had that he held up every fourth down for the Pats that said:

"Go for it Bill! 11-0 baby!"

I lol'd thoroughly.

The Pats were competitive until Brady threw his first INT. After that, the Aints smelled blood in the water and went into a frenzy.

I think it's highly unlikely that either team will remain undefeated for the entire season, never mind both of them. Regardless, the Saints really seem like a team to be reckoned with.

It's December 1st and the Pats have yet to win on the road or beat a quality team. The defense got owned last night, esp the secondary. And people wonder why BB went for it on 4th and 2.Wilhite was Brees' biatch all night and is the new Ellis Hobbs. Great display of turnstile blocking by the Pat's O line. Saints were getting pressure rushing four, sometimes three, and dropping 7 or 8. Saint's offense is sick..Pats were out coached yet again and now have to get things sorted out, face a short week and head to Miami. Who have always given the Pats problems down there.
I think the Saints have a better chance of going unbeaten in the regular season. Once the Colts have the number one seed wrapped up,Caldwell may chose to rest his starters. The Saints have to keep the pedal to the metal as the Vikings are on their tail. And they would love to have the NFCCG in the Dome. That place was rocking..Great to see that city and franchise have a competitive team.

When have two undefeated teams gone to a Super Bowl? Past history does not write the future, but statistically, it's a pretty strong indication that one or both teams are likely to lose at least one game on the way to the playoffs.

What I see as much more likely is one team going into the Super Bowl at 15-1 in the regular season, and the other one at 14-2. Even then, with a record short of perfect, it will be a great Super Bowl if these two teams meet. But we have a whole third of a season left, so anything can happen. Like I mentioned before, though the odds get slimmer every week, we can see a rematch between the Cardinals and the Steelers. But what I see as more likely is that if the Saints don't go, the Vikings will. In the AFC, there is nobody I feel that is the type of team Indy is. I thought maybe the Pats could have had an amazing season ending at 14-2 or so, but it won't happen this year.

Wow, is anybody else watching Saints vs Redskins?
I thought it would be a shut out against Redskins, since they suck :/, and Saints are amazing, but not really.

Tied at 17-17, after a HORRIBLE call by the refs.

Drew Brees threw an interception, fumbled ball, returned for a Saints Touchdown.

lol

the patriots suck. they make so many careless mistakes, and just play like a bunch of **** ups. brady isn't playing smart anymore, he just throws it in to double and triple coverage like a *******.

0-5 on the road. this team is going nowhere.

at least we have the bruins.

Holy crap. How long has it been since you were able to say that with any level of seriousness? For ages it's been, well the Bruins suck again, at least you've got the Patriots.

The Bruins are going to kill my team so badly on New Years Day that it's going to be like a scene out of Mortal Kombat. Very depressing how bad the Flyers got so quickly. I wish they'd stop hiring goons and get some people who can go three games in a row without a suspension or a dumb penalty.

Peter Laviolette welcome back to the NHL:rolleyes:. And you're right, Carcillo a freak'n PUNK... Emery isn't the answer either...

Peace

I'm going to the Bruins-Flyers game in Boston on Dec 14th :D Gotta love getting tix for less than face value on stubhub :)

That should be fun. For you. :)

I'm moving back to the Denver area this month, so maybe I can start catching games again. Gotta find work first of course. But after that, I'm ready to see some NHL action again. Corn Country doesn't have AHL, or even CHL, it has USHL. Which just sucks. 16 year olds getting booed for not fighting, or 17 year old goalies getting harassed for giving up a goal. They're kids, and are dumped on like they're millionaires.

Nice to see the Cowgirls are back to December form, losers.:p

Looks like a changing of the guard. Patriots and Steelers dynasties look to be over.

Old man Favre is back to his old self.
