Seriously, the Brown D just put a whoopin' on the Steelers. Roethlisberger was sacked like 7 or 8 times during the game. This losing streak is quite surprising and like others are saying I think their playoff chances are over. Oh, and Mendenhall didn't do me any fantasy favors with his poor performance.

Wild cards are the two best records that aren't division winners; if there's a tie there's a series of tiebreaker criteria that determines who gets it.

The Bills, Browns, Steelers, Titans, Texans, Chiefs, Raiders in the AFC and Redskins, Bears, Lions, Falcons, Panthers, Bucs, 49ers, Seahawks, and Rams are all probably out of the race at this point.

I agree that some of these teams are probably not going, but we still have time in the season and anything can happen, but each week the top seeds continue dominating and teams like the 49ers and Steelers flop, the odds become less likely. The Steelers can still get a wild card and the 49ers can still win their division if the Cardinals implode.

I don't count out my 49ers until they are technically out of the race. Personally, I would not put any money on my 49ers this year. If they win their remaining games that will be good enough for me. But I don't expect the Cardinals to lose even one game as they seem to be making a run for going to the Super Bowl.

The Super Bowl is a concept years away from the 49ers. Man I miss the early 80s through the 90s with all those division wins, records, and Super Bowls. Ronnie Lott, Deion Sanders, the catch, Roger Craig, Montana's key hookups with Rice, Young's miracle pass to Owens, Charles Haley, the coaches, etc. ;)

It's easy to figure that the division winners all get in. But when some teams have to get in by winning and having another team lose or tie, that becomes hard to figure out.

Indy gets homefield advantage

Now that Indy has locked up a bye and home field advantage, they can rest their starters some. It looks like the Saints have the Vikings on their heels.
I still think the Vikings can take the NFC even though the Saints are the Cinderella team of football this year.

^ If they would actually try during the first half then they may actually win one. Seriously, it's as though they're better during the last quarter than they are the rest of the game.

Dallas sucks again.

They are not out of the playoffs, like my Raiders.

Don't weep, Dallas fan, since you guys have possibly one of the best relatively new QBs of his generation and within spitting range of being the highest rated QB in NFL history. At his best this season, Romo was ranked #3 among all QBs, working or retired with Young (49ers legend in the 80s and 90s) at #1 and Peyton Manning at #2.

There is a rational argument for Dallas doing well this year and possibly making it to the the NFC Championship game. They are in a neck in neck division which will be interesting to watch. With the late surge of the Giants against Philly right now, I think Eli and company can pick up a win from behind.

What were you saying about Eli and company:D:D:D

Peace

That was a big game. I wonder how that division will play out at the end of the season.

The Giants are basically cooked:D. The Cowgirls can't win in December:D Who's left...:)
E-A-G-L-E-S...

Peace

As long as the Eagles don't choke I think they've got the division won. The Cowboys have a tough rode to go, but the Giants have got to win out to have a chance. It will indeed be interesting.

Go Cardinals, I hope they clinch tonight. :)

Yeah, the only question now is who the Eagles are going to lose to in the NFC Championship.

The Cowboys can still pull it out if they win 2 of the last three and one of those wins is against the Eagles.

How do we allow you to live in Dallas? :)

Born and raised in Nashville, so the Titans are my number one team. I grew up a Dallas fan though as my parent's loved the Cowboys until the Landry stuff happened. I cheer for Dallas and would love to see them do well, but I think it's going to be really tough. I guess if we sweep the Eagles then we have the tiebreaker over them. I didn't think about that.

My Cardinals love is simply because I am a Warner fan and I enjoy cheering for an underdog. Even after last year (still disappointed they didn't win) no one takes them seriously. I think Whisenhunt is putting together a solid team that could be really good for years to come. The big question is Warner because it's been proven, at least to me, that Leinart is not the answer.

Cautiously optimistic Eagles fan checking in.

Fun/stressful game last night.

I will admit, when the Eagles got the ball back at the end of the game, I wanted them to run up the score. But I might still be bitter about the Phillies/Yankees. :D

Big games ahead. Going to be a fun end of the season.

On the AFC side of things, if scheduling works out, I will be going to the Raiders/Broncos on Sunday. But I have a moving truck coming, at least one job interview, and need to drive back to Corn Country to get my last load of stuff.

We'll see.

I am keeping an open mind for a Dallas win vs the Saints..... We should win against the Redskins and Eagles... We should. Big Should.... but this is December and hopefully, another BIG hopefully we can pull it together. If we can win just one playoff game... JUST ONE!!! :D
