Is my English really that poor????

I am counting number of complains AGAINST IOS 7 on MR, which is far greater then people happy with iOS 7. Where does fanboy come into all this??

Ok Sir, I concede defeat to ' the movement '.... I will go back to the minority of people happy with iOS 7....

Have a good day.....

You were right to bump this thread... I really can't stop laughing reading these last two pages... ##

----------

All those who love iOS 7, do you like it 100%?

No complaints at all?

A few gripes here and there yea... Which again I am patient about as I am sure they'll be solved in the coming month or two...

I use Windows 8 on my home PC, I firmly believe it is a flop. However, the changes to each are vastly different.

Microsoft forced change on desktop users just for the sake of change. On a non touch device, the UI makes no sense at all. I've had to install one of the countless start button replacements to get back to the faster way of doing things. The new UI is fantastic for touch devices ..

The new UI on iOS7 really isn't that new. Besides a new skin, it mostly works just as it did before but with the underpinnings being better.

I use Windows 8 on all my PCs, including my Macs. I do agree Force Metro into desktop is somewhat bad, however, it isn't as bad as it claims to do. I do find Metro is much easier to launch apps than start menu.

Also people seems to forget most applications create shortcut on desktop, so really once you going to desktop, you don't have to deal with metro again. By the way, Windows 8.1 lets you boot straight into desktop and have start menu

98% like... And rest will be sorted out with updates, we are sure....

Hating it, company is beginning to end, iOS is a complete flop - is all rhetoric, or perhaps attention seeking or maybe anger management issues....

This is resembling Hollywood script....

Keep the movement going, I say...

See, Windows 8.1 doesn't actually do this. Yes, you have the start button there all the time, but it is not the start button you had in Windows 7. It simply drops you back to the Metro UI to launch apps. It is better than that auto hide nonsense currently available on 2012 and Windows 8.

The search function from metro is nice, I agree with that. Other than that .. I am just not impressed with it. Managing servers via RDP running 2012 are a nightmare to say the least. I had to use Google just to learn how to log off an RDP session. Ugh

All I am saying is taking MacRumor isn't really reflect the true story. You might as well go to website like: The Verge. You will get better picture of reality. No matter what, MacRumor is Apple fan site. Of course, most people here will like iOS 7.

If you go to Android fan site, most people will tell you how much better is Android compares with iOS.

Taking MacRumor as reality is laughable... Don't you see the high fanboyism in this forum? If you think MacRumor is the reality, then I think China is democracy. R

The reason apple need to push update because the terrible battery performance and wide spread of wifi problem. You forget to look at the root of the problem.

Regardless of the update, key features of iOS 6 were major flop. Apple Maps is the best example and there really isn't any usefulness of PassBook thus far. Yeah... iOS 6 was a flop...

iOS 6 was not a flop if your reasons are passbook and maps. I never had to use the passbook so that's ok. Maps? I used google maps in conjunction with apple maps. Solutions were readily available.

iOS 7 is a different story. Safari is the best integrated browser for my iphone 5 so I won't use another browser. However, the missing top bar that shows time and battery % is gone in landscape mode. I have to touch the screen to get the bar out. Why!!!!!!!

Calendar lost its functionality also. iOS 6 and previous had much better calendar.

Actually you boot to metro, then simple windows key brings you back to desktop. You don't have to leave desktop if you choose to.

iOS 6 was a flop because it really doesn't bring s anything new to the table and major new features were flops. However, because iOS 6 was base on older version, iOS 6 is very useable.

People forget that people who are happy don't feel the need to publicly state it like those who are unhappy do. This leads to the incorrect perspective that there are more unhappy people than happy people.

Because vertical space is at a premium in landscape. Its why they came up with fullscreen landscape mode in iOS6.

But the start button is not the old start button. A right click gives you a menu with a few nice shortcuts (my computer and a couple others), but a standard left click brings you back into metro. This is exactly what the start button does right now in Windows 8, the difference is that it auto hides in the corner. All Microsoft has done is tack it in place.

iOS 6 was not a flop. It was just not impressive. Not having an impressive progression vs being a complete failure are totally different.

iOS 7 on the other hand is missing some good features that were on iOS 6.
I never complain about lack of new features. I complain when things get worse.
iOS 7 looks fresher but why is my top bar hiding from me!!!!!!!!!!!!
Calendar is bad also. I want the old calendar back. If you don't know why the ios7 calendar is bad you probably didn't use calendar much on iOS 6.
Those are two of my complaints. I have more but I listed them in another thread. Too many to list.

but why is my top bar hiding from me!!!!!!!!!!!!

Because vertical space is at a premium in landscape. I frequently look at the web page and hardly ever need to check the time while browsing so I'm happy with the change. i can see the time through notification center or just by looking at my watch.

Well Apple gave up 3mm of top space that should have never been given up.
If you need more space in the bathroom do you get ride of the toilet? No.

Its impossible to have a real conversation on this matter because people who like 7 are said to just be supporting/propping it up because they are fans.

Ad hominem arguments are the typical refuge of those without a well constructed platform. As they cannot defend their position logically, they attack the credibility of the people holding different viewpoints.

e.g. people who like iOS7 are just "sheeple" toeing the Apple company line.

In my case, my gf with the iphone 4 that I had purchased for her birthday was upset because her phone was excruciatingly slow, almost crippled. And the battery life, which wasn't that great to start with, is now so bad that she has to be on perpetual charger. Yes, we disabled this, disabled that, but the drain was very fast.

I have a friend who had the same issues with her iPhone 4 as well after she upgraded to iOS7. I offered to take a look at it for her. It was indeed excrutiatingly slow. When I tried to enter a text, it would take a good 5-10 seconds after I typed a word for it to appear. Something was definitely wrong. I first turned the phone off and back on again. But nothing changed.

So I did a reset - Settings -> General -> Reset -> Reset All Settings. And that seemed to have fixed it. Everything was at least responsive again. That was a week ago and so far, I haven't heard any complaints from her. I'll contact her again today to see if it's remained stable, but I'd suggest trying that as well to see if it helps. The iPhone 4 is slower, but it shouldn't be so slow as to be unusable.

I know it's not a fix for all of your iOS7 issues but hopefully that will alleviate some of it.

I am not sure whether I should agree with you or not. Too sophisticated for my level of English. I gave a 'like' anyhow.

I'm not understanding this recurring complaint. What functionality is lost? I like it MUCH better. Esp the scrolling months.
