I for one am a proud member of this new movement - vowed to not purchase another product from Apple until they get their act together. Not saying I'm switching to Android or anything like that. There are lots of 2nd hand idevices to be had and Apple is not getting anything from those sales, so that's what I will do when the time comes to replace my iP4...

Keep it up sir.... It is commendable....

More people join in, better it will be. We can send in a battery of sea gulls over new Apple Campus and they would 'poop' all over.... Now that would be some movement....

Buying a used Apple product still supports Apple because resale value is a factor in the overall appeal of a product. I.e some people buy new Apple products over Samsung because of the resale value (which you're contributing to). Didn't think this one through did ya?

Anyway who the F revived this thread?

I'm gonna start a movement against movements against Apple not 'allowing' downgrades.

Who's with me?!

None of my money is going directly to Apple's pocket is what's important for me. Whatever butterfly effect my 2nd hand purchase has on their business I don't care.

I have a movement every morning when I wake up. :D

Like fragmentation? Go get an Android phone.

This type of line usually works better when in a large angry mob, doesn't translate so well to writing in a forum, hehe.

Can we not move on from this?

iOS 7 is a far superior OS compared to iOS 6. If thats going too far its much better. Its proved with the 61% adoption rate everyone loves it too.

iOS 6 is done. Just like Windows XP. Move on with it. You moan your not going to get far in life. If you can't handle iOS 7 at all like some people exxagerate move. Go to another company buy into another OS.

Are you still not happy with the above? Send Apple some feedback, they do listen. If your still not happy write an email to Tim Cook . Yes we all know he will not reply but his "Executive Relations" team will call you and try and resolve your issue.

It seems like the only company people moan at and have a good go in complaining is Apple. I don't understand it is a great company, that make excellent products. It works :apple:

61% of adoption rate means everyone loves it? What about other 39%?

If someone does not like iOS 7, then move to competitor OS, how does this even makes any sense?

First of all the rate is closer to 80%... I do not know where you got figure of 61% from?

It's a majority wins, just like in elections. Obama won, the others who did not vote for him can moan all they like, but he ain't going anywhere until his term is over...

Companies listen to majority of their customers. If they started to listen to sundry and all, they would be running around in so many different direction like headless chicken.

If people do not like iOS 7 sufficient enough, then it makes perfect sense to move to other OS.. Where is any lack of sense in this?

It's pretty obvious that Apple knows about these problems. In future updates ios 7 will be just as stable and reliable as ios 6. They won't just leave your phone in the dust. It's not android.

I thought a good percentage of those folks were automatically updated. Thats not adoption without a means to downgrade.

Turn that back on, wait 30 days and then lets see what that IOS7 adoption rate looks like.

You thought incorrectly then. No one is automatically updated. iOS 7 will not install without user consent.

But users unable to form an opinion if it without installing it. A real test of user acceptance would be to release iOS7 and continue signing iOS6. If you get an adoption rate close to 80%, you have a winner. If users move back to iOS6, you have a "Windows Vista situation".

No going back to iOS 6 = no more Apple purchases! I'm starting a movement

That's not relevant to my post. The person above me posted that they thought iOS 7 would install automatically. It does not. Although, I understand what you're saying. Without a method to downgrade your software acceptance rates do not necessarily reflect satisfaction rates.

That being said, personally I like iOS 7. More so on my iPhone than on my iPad though. Apple still needs to do some work on the iPad version.

As someone who hated iOS 7, I was dreading the change. Well, I updated and it felt a little weird at first, but now I actually prefer it over any other apple OS. I like the minimal-ness of it. The UI gets out of the way and let's the content come to the foreground.

I guess you don't use the music app then. The iOS7 music app is a perfect example of eye-candy that hinders usability.

Music app looks and works the same to me. yeah different colours like the rest of ios7, still all works the same as ios6. Pointless upgrade from apple, should have just offered skins to keep all the kids happy.

Reminds me of Tron Legacy: "This year we put a 12 on the box"

Saying that we all knew what we were getting is wrong. Nowhere did I see that the iPhone 5 battery usage would be down two hours per charge cycle with iOS 7. That was not advertised anywhere. I have ALL the new o/s features switched off and yet I am still two hours down. I don't see that as an upgrade, or even a sidegrade. It's a downgrade pure and simple. Fix that and I'm happy but until then I'm VERY disappointed.

And, in using my iphone 5 and ipad, I am having difficulty seeing the thin lines that are throughout the new ios . Yes, I made all the tweaks, font size, etc, but I am still having issues even after the changes. And I am also having battery issues with the ipad . And I hate the icons and find the calendar unusable, amongst other things

File bug report.

There were plenty of screenshots, videos, reviews available for you to check out iOS 7 before upgrading. It was all over the news, you can't really claim to not have known about the major, controversial design changes before manually upgrading your phone.

Bollocks there was, the average owner will just apply the updates regardless assuming that it will be fixing previous problems. Not everyone is a geek checking out what will be different.

Simple rule of updates are if you dont update then you dont get support, applies to almost every software company out there.

That's obviously not a feature. Plenty of folks out there not having any issues with battery life going from iOS 6 to 7.

If you are having issues with battery life then it is probably a good time to restore back to factory and begin installing everything again fresh.

Just because someone didn't take the time to look into the contents of an upgrade doesn't change the fact that there was tons of information out about iOS 7 before release.
