I'm getting the same 403 Forbidden error. I have some cracked repos in my source list, and when it first came out (1.0) I clicked on the first Notified I saw, which was the cracked one. It was buggy as hell anyways, so I uninstalled. Now, I downloaded regular Notified 3.0 from modmyi repo, and then tried downloading the notification bar, and I still get the 403 forbidden error. Any reason why?? How do I fix this?

I was randomly getting that error the other day too, but I just kept retrying and it eventually worked.

I've been trying for days. I get the http://apt.modmyi.com 403 Forbidden error. Been trying for the past 2 days, and haven't been able to get it. I even just deleted the NOTIFIEDAPP entirely now, and still get the error. UGH I want to try this out. I'll buy the damn PRO version, but I can't even get the free one to download.

Protip to get App icons instead of the default Notified icon:

Use iFile, enable the Thumbnail View, navigate to /var/mobile/Applications/[App Folder]/abc.app, copy and paste the icon.png (usually it has icon in the name and ends in png) into the Notified.app folder and this will give you an actual icon instead of the default Notified icon.

Super quick and easy once you've done it a couple times. Another tip is to add the file folder locations to the iFile Favorites so you can quickly jump back and forth between your app folders and the Notified.app folder.

Are you able to successfully download and install any other apps from modmyi, or is Notified the only one you can't get?

i just tried installing a random program "dmap". It worked.

Will it only download if you have PRO installed?

:edit: just re-download NOTIFIED and that worked. It's just the notifcation bar for it that won't download. That's what I'm interested in - no reason to run the app by itself!

You need to purchase Notified Pro, to be able to use the notification bar.

So it won't even download it then? gotcha.

Can anyone make a video of the notification bar in action? I haven't been able to find one online, that's why I wanted to test it out. Don't want to waste my money to buy it if it's not really what I'm looking for.

Well, running the app by itself, without the notification bar, will allow you to have a centralized, "window-shade" notifications pulldown, also allows you to block the default popups from homescreen, lockscreen or both, lets you redirect popups to other programs, etc.

The notifications bar add-on is just a replacement skin/style for the stock popup notifications.

Ok - question - I set it to run NOTIFIED on swipe down. But it just launches the app. Is there a way to make it look like InfoShade or Android's swipe down, where it's just a swipe down menu instead of opening the whole app? (or is that just what's available in PRO?)

Only available with Pro.

UGH - So I just purchased PRO, and when I go to download, it says "host unreachable". Figures.

The Notification Bar is similar to Palm's notification bar, it's translucent and slides up from the bottom of the screen, you can "X" to close it or tap the icon to go to the related app.

They're supposed to release a Status Bar plugin soon that displays a message up top as an overlay on the status bar. Pretty cool stuff!

Isn't this one similar to Lockinfo? It too has a translucent slide, and can log/preview/delete emails, run apps etc.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_0 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/532.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0.5 Mobile/8A293 Safari/6531.22.7)

Can someone with pro be kind enough and make a video of it in action please.

I got it to download, and it works great now. however, it's not blocking SMS while on locked screen. And it wouldn't show notifications for biteSMS, so I had to revert back to Apple's messaging as default sms app.

Seems like there are more issues than its worth right now. Hopefully, it'll get resolved soon. I do miss the android style shade though.

yea, its not really working 100% right now. a lot of stuff are bugging me and im just turning it off under mobilesubstrate until all bugs are fixed.

is this app suppose to be like a log for notifications or is it suppose to allow you to click on whatever popped up and you can open the app straight from the dropdown shade and then clears the list? because when i get an SMS, it shows up in the shade, but when i press it, it doesnt do anything.

Yes. I think the SMS is a bug for the moment. Seems to be working sometimes for me. The other notification types are mostly working as expected.

It's only been out for a week or so, they're fixing bugs pretty quickly.

finally able to download it. how do you even set it up? I have activator where I just slide down the status bar and the shade drops down, but there's nothing in there even though I have unread emails, txt and missed calls. I already went through the settings but nothing. Anyone?

Mail isn't captured yet, and the other things I think it only captures once a notification for a missed call/txt comes in, I don't think it will display existing notifications.

In the interim you can keep using bitesms, just choose the apple notifications under options in bite instead of the quick reply.
