Has anyone been able to redirect your sms's to open up with QuickReply? This is my only issue with notifiedpro. QuickReply isn't listed in the programs that I can use as a redirect...I guess this is because it is an add-on to the standard sms program. Let me know if I'm just looney and can't figure this out.

I'm having issues:

1) I tell Notified to block popups for SMS on homescreen and springboard (unchecked them). Apple SMS notifications still show up. How do I fix this???

2) Don't think this is a bug, but they need to fix it - when i click on the notification bar for a new sms/etc, it needs to clear it from the NotifiedApp so I don't have to clear it manually. I read a new text that comes in, yet it still shows a text in the notified app. Lame.

You can submit bugs to them: http://bugs.notifiedapp.com/

I think I have a problem with #1 too. Cut them some slack, it's a brand new app.

I know the dev and designer personally and talk to them frequently. If you get the error, it may be because of a ModMyI issue. Should be all cleared up now though. You can install "Statusbar Notifications for Notified". Turn off the old bar notification system that showed at the bottom of the screen as you won't need that anymore. I did that thru SBSettings. Follow @NotifiedApp on Twitter for updates. I can assure you that these guys poured their hearts into the app and continue to make it better through updates.

Thats funny because I have emailed them a couple of weeks ago asking for a refund since it doesn't capture ANYTHING at all. Not sms, email, missed calls, nothing. I have not heard anything back.

Lockinfo features InfoShade.

So for the $5 for Lockinfo, you get the Lockscreen plugins, Infoshade (pull down menu like this) and the homescreen.

I tried Notified pro, and I wasn't impress, and I think the reason is that LockInfo+Infoshade were already doing all that for me.

Mind explaining to me what does exactly the InfoShade part do?

I had LockInfo, works great you see the notifications on the lockscreen. But what is InfoShade? I saw it in the options before but didnt really know how to use it or what it did

brings up the lockinfo screen over the springboard.

Oh man, I'm sorry to hear that it's not working for you. May I suggest you try something first? Uninstall-reinstall. There were some ModMyI packaging issues with the original releases, so maybe that is part of your problem. As far as the SMS issue, this is a known bug. MMS works, but SMS doesn't especially with biteSMS. They're working on it, I assure you. Email support is coming in the next update or two. The way you hook into the email system in 4.x is different than 3.x which is when the app was in beta. Missed calls work for me so I can't help with that one. As far as refunds, I've heard that you have to contact Saurik himself since all items sold on Cydia run through his paypal. I'm speculating a bit, but that's what I've heard.

I can't personally speak for the creators of this app. They're just personal friends of mine. But believe me, they are trying they're best to work these bugs out, and push updates every few days. Again, sorry you're experiencing trouble. In the interim, if you have a Twitter account, I suggest you try contacting them there.

I have the same. I think it happens when it has no logged notifications. The developer is aware of the bug and it's fixed in the next update.

I prefer this over Lockinfo because it has a much better looking UI. Also it has a plugin system and this one has just been submitted. I used to use GriP so this is very welcome

Upon first looks... the UI on Notified is very nice, but it's kind of bulky in my opinion. LockInfo is far more concise with the information. I haven't followed in a while, but GriP development pretty much stopped.

Also, LockInfo has a plugin system as well. I should know since I am the developer of two ToDo list application plugins for LockInfo. At the moment it looks like they offer the same features except that LockInfo also provides LockScreen support.

Lockinfo features InfoShade.

InfoShade is EXACTLY what this does.

This app looks cool though. Maybe they'll come up with something to really wow us. I'm now an Android user too though (I still have my iPhone 3G because I like playing with it and I still maintain my plugins for LockInfo) and I have to say the Android Notification system is really a brilliant implementation. LockInfo comes close and is great to have though. If this app can do a better job of emulating it than that'd be great.

Two updates ago they fixed the SMS blocking bug. It's been working 100% for me ever since.

The app's really working great for me now, can't see I'm really noticing any huge bugs at the moment.

So you could have it not show lockinfo on the lockscreen? But instead perhaps bring down the info shade by a swipe or something?

and yes, you can disable the lockscreen part if that is what you want and just show it when you activate it by a swipe or shake and so on.

You can mix and match plugins between lockInfo and InfoShade, I got Notifications and weather on my lock screen, but i got RSS feed, Twitter and email/sms notification on infoshare, so if i get an email, sms or just want to check what's new on macrumors or tuaw i just pull infoshade without quitting the app I was currently in.

I really don't want them emulating Android, I think infoshade have personality, i like the level of customization and the ability to have plugins.

Hehe your a legend maturola! I was looking for something exactly like this lol. Had lockinfo on my 3G and never knew what Infoshade does!

Excellent

I was more referring to this app emulating Android. LockInfo is far more concise than even the Android notification. So that's cool too. Android has large sections for each notification with a brief preview and whatnot. InfoShade shows a narrow bar with just the headline. This (Notified) is almost a mix between them. The thing that struck me when I saw it is that it looks like the section headers are WAY bigger than they need to be. It makes it hard to see a lot of info at a glance. I haven't used the actual app though so I don't know if this is a setting or what. I just looked at screenshots from their homepage.

This app is not identical to the lockinfo infoshade.. this keeps a running log of notifications and gives you the ability to change the way popups work on your phone, via the notification bar from the bottom, or status bar on the top, either way when you bring the panel down it gives a list of notifications you have gotten until you clear them (unlike lockinfo which clears when you check that particular notification).. I may be mistaken as I only used lockinfo for the trial period and decided not to purchase it. I really like using the statusbar notifications through this app, while there are improvements to be made its much less intrusive than the Apple standard popups.

you can change the size of the header and the font on the setting, if you want the larger.

I didn't mean to say they were the same, I said i wasn't impress since "most" of the feature I was already running with infoshade. The Notification bar pluin is nice, but I've been using elert for quite some time so again, don't need the double functionality, and SMS notification comes from BiteSMS.

Oh, didnt mean you were saying they are the same, just throughout this thread nobody has really pointed out the difference between the two... that I saw anyways, thought I'd say that for the people that haven't purchased. Never heard of elert to be honest.

I just want to say that I am really enjoying Notified Pro. The plugins are nice too, I tried both the notification bar and the status bar plugins and they both worked fine.

I used the statusbar plugin mostly but I missed how the notification bar shows the icon of the app (after all the work I did of adding the icons to the notified.app folder) when you get a notification. It just looks really clean and cool!

If somehow the statusbar plugin could show a little app icon on the top (like the green message icon when you get a text) instead of "!" that would be awesome.

@maturola and @ViVidboarder: what version of lockinfo do you guys have? i have the latest version (2.3.4.14) and my infoshade does not display what i want it to display.

for example, i only want these screens to display:
infoshade - calendar
lockscreen - htc plugin, mail, and sms
homescreen - rss

but my infoshade will display every plugin i have enabled.

here is a thread i have created about lockinfo visibility problem. https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/987229/

please let me know how you guys got it to work. its been bugging me. thanks!
