Just noticed that on the O2 site for pay monthly, 16gb black option just been made unavailable!

Sorry can't do screen shot, not sure how to on this!

I have not found a single person who managed to complete an order though - that is odd surely ?
Not too many have actual confirmation that they've beeen successful - a vital poart of a normal online sale transaction...

Time for Plan C O2..
 
8GB will be gone within the next hour ... according to O2 when i was on the phone to them..

Maybe I'll just order an 8Gb one and return in within 14 days and get the 16Gb one sometime next week? Nah, can't be bothered - too much hassle.

I wonder how many people will though?
 
I went to start the upgrade process and got the upgrade code texted to me.

That took ages though - and then it asked for my payment details and I did that and then it did that circle thing and went back to the blank payment page!

I have no idea what that means... did it work? did it fail?

I will have to call o2 to ask it seems!
 
Hopeless

This is the problem you get when a British firm has it's managers using the same ethos as that British Airways employ.

Apple should never have chosen O2 as it's UK supplier - the firms not geared-up for modern trading and it can't cope with such concepts.

I guess O2 didn't conceive when they sent the 8am SMS that people would actually visit the site to upgrade their iphones.

Why do businesses like O2 try to persuade customers that it is the first day they've ever traded?

Don't waste your time. I phoned with the same problem and the only advice they could offer was for me to check my bank account.
 
Well. Now I am really peed off!
I finally managed to get through and put a 16gb Iphone through and then it all hung and I had to start again. Now 16gm I phone no longer available.
I am not happy at all.
Off to o2 shop at lunch where I will be giving them hell!
 
Ordered

Just ordered mine, 16Gb black, wnet thru no problems, order number given and O2 checkout receipt says delivery date 11/7.

Fingers crossed.:p
 
this is bloody shocking, i hope apple bites o2 in the ass for this! I am giving up, I have wasted 3 hours on their crappy site trying to no avail, I'm not gonna bother at all now, and where was the option for a white phone? Complete wankers.
 
Well - to my surprise, i tried around 11:12 - and the upgrade site was up and runing. I entered in my upgrade code, selected black 16gb iphone, wwent through to the payment section and it it all seemed to have worked. I have been given an order number for my purchase so will wait and see if an email confirmation comes through of the order.

ANy others managed to get thier upgrade through?

I managed to get my upgrade order through today...

Text to say upgrades where available 08:02

Got past maintenance page at approx 08:15

Upgrade code came through at 08:17

Order confirmation email came through at 08:22

So fingers crossed a 16Gb iPhone will arive on Friday!!! :D

(Between 09:00 and 17:00 I guess - Good job I have the day off! :))

I did.
 
O2 project managers/business people will be sitting around thinking why non of their existing customers have not decided to upgrade yet.. probably slagging us all off..

lol!!!
 
Woo I got my order in for a 16gb upgrade at 11.22am, I must have been one of the last to get in on this!

It was hard work though! 3 hrs of refreshing the page every 2 seconds! But worth it for that amazing O2 3G coverage!!! oh no wait I dont live in london so I wont get 3G! Damn, ahh well at least I have 8 more gbs of space...

I managed to get all the way through the ordering then that stupid last page just hung...where it as you to put ya details and payments etc now its crashed!

Was it all logged and ordered correctly? do i take the risk and hit close the window...and now i hear the 16gig are sold out!

New customer or upgrade?

I'm already an O2 customer but I am not upgrading from a Iphone. My son has the Viewty phone on O2 in my name, so this Iphone will be an additional phone on contract so that means I'll have two contracts with O2.
 
The site keeps failing on me.
Wish I could just upgrade.

Exactly what happened to me. but at 8:06am, so even more frustrating! O2 woke me up from a good sleep with a text stating I could upgrade online now! No such luck. Useless.
