Worked for me as well...

As of yet I am still yet to receive confirmation (email or 'my orders')

Well......i'll eat my hat with a side order of my old sony ericsson if the PAYG will be available on friday!

The problem is that i doubt the muppet on the end of the phone doesnt know the difference between PAYG or contract......plus they are just reading off a screen when they talk to you!
 
The 02 website front page now says they are out of stock online, come back on the 10th july! - what a joke, how many did they have then? about 23 I reckon since nobody could actually order one.

i've been trying on and off now for most of the day.

i did get all the way through earlier on, but no confirmation numbers, took all my details, said thanks, then back to the front screen.


so sod it, i'll just wait. 😱 hell, at this rate, the Blackberry Bold might be out !!! 😱

So many places have said "no PAYG till later (XMAS)". Its just not going to happen on friday, as much as i want it to! I have resigned to this and getting hold of one from OZ.

omg the fail over page actually just worked for me!!! only just done it after 3 1/2 hrs, i will post if i get any emails etc....

Just tried the failover method for myself too and got the same message. God knows if it's worked though...
 
Hmmm, I just got the "OK" page from the failover page. Does this mean I've been successful? I've got a horrible feeling my order might disappear into thin air.

EDIT: O2 homepage now says online is out of stock, come back 10th July..... :-(

This has been a marketing ploy all along, the front page now says out of stock, come back July 10th, how can they sell out now, and have some back in stock on July 10th a day BEFORE release date.

All those that said the failover page worked, it works even if you submit a blank page so i think its just a form some monkey will get in their inbox.
 
What happens once you get the following message after filling in the form?

Thank you for your order. We are processing this and will contact you if there are any complications with the details you have provided.
 
has anyone yet managed to get the normal page to work to order a iphone aka not the failover page and also recently like in the last hour as i know some people managed to order 1 at like 8 this morning.....?
 
For those of you who got to the final payment screen and never got an order number - check your My O2 Page - scroll to the bottom and look at My Orders. Found my order there listed as In Progress.
 
My order went through about 30 mins ago on the failsafe page.

As of yet I am yet to get a email regarding the order, I called O2 asking if there was any outstanding orders on my account and they said 'No'

I was advised to give it a hour and no confirmation has been received to call them

Ha ha!

I never could upgrade and i didnt want to have 2 contract running at once, so i never was going to go that route, but its sad and funny to see the fallout from this. Funny as in, what a bunch of muppets O2 are and how they let this happen. I means, its not like the 3g phone has just snuck up on them!

Feel sorry for all you guys through.

3 1/2 hours is no time at all 😉 I've been trying on and off since the text woke me up at about 7:45 (well 8:02 when it went online, but O2 still woke me up!) this morning. Until now, I always got the error message. I now imagine they will process the info, say order is processed, but delivery is not available for friday! I wouldn't put it past them.
