Actually this may help.

Assuming they still have upgrades available then people will stop hammering the site now they think there are no phones left.

Which means it may actually work!

The 02 website front page now says they are out of stock online, come back on the 10th july! - what a joke, how many did they have then? about 23 I reckon since nobody could actually order one.

Useless wankers

Probably just an excuse to cover up the fact that their website can't cope with so many orders at the same time. If it really is true I seriously doubt Apple with ship them another batch of phones by Thursday.

No. And did you tell them you were recording and publishing the conversation? I'm not a lawyer and I do not play one on TV but you could get in a LOT of trouble if you did not get consent.

It'll be fine. If you get caught just say you were recording it "for training purposes" :p

that guy had NO idea what he was talking about.
I would assume no PAYT
he also said you could pre order IF you registered your interest, that is not mentioned ANYWHERE on the site

finally ordered and went through to the confirmation screen. I've been trying since 10am on my works computer. I decided to have a go on my iPhone (over wifi) and it worked first time! If you having trouble still over your pc, try ordering on your iPhone (over wifi of course, or else you'll be there all day)

I was still able to select the 16gb too, but guess I'm just waiting for a confirmation email now

the https://upgrades.o2.co.uk page now seems to be being directed straight away to the failover page with no thought about trying to get to the original page that was supposed to be used to order the new iPhone

is this happening to anyone else?!?!?

Well, just entered mobile number and asked for code. No code, it just went straight to details page. Asked for 16gb and pressed send and got ;

"Thank you for your order. We are processing this and will contact you if there are any complications with the details you have provided."

So wtf does that mean? Bloody o2. :mad:
