This is SO frustrating.. Does anyone know if us existing iPhone 1 owners can upgrade in store on Friday ?

It isn't mentioned on the site and I cannot get through to o2 on the phone..

I have been trying for almost an hour now.

Various messages received, but still the same outcome, no new iphone ordered just yet, I will post again if I ever manage to get it ordered.
 
Jeez, the usual "our website can't cope" rubbish. You'd think they could affod decent servers....

Think I'll stick to my original plan of going to have a look at one instore next weekend (to make sure the screen is OK etc.) then place my upgrade order online after that. Bet I'll still have it by the end of that week.
 
What is the point in having two separate ordering systems for existing iPhone users and existing O2 non-iPhone users? I'm the latter and could order using either ordering page. I even got an upgrade code by text but I'm not an existing iPhone customer. :rolleyes:
 
We'll deliver as many orders as possible on 11th July and then delivery may take up to 2 weeks. We'll send you an SMS the day before delivery to let you know it's on the way.

This is what it says on O2 site..... its a big risk unless you are one of the lucky ones....

i've tried ordering 3 times now.

first two came up with error messages, last one gave me an order ref but said a check is required even though im on o2 upgrading...

just rang up my bank...all 3 went through!!!

anoyone know how i cancel two of them? i ring o2 and i just get cut off
 
I kept getting that ^

Now i'm getting a bad request error after seeing this upgrade code page after the 8th or so try. This is annoying.
 
what makes it even more annoying is that if you try and ring O2 upgrades it puts you in a line and then cuts you off after 5mins wait!

Thats Customer service...why do i pay over £500 for this service a year again? oh yeah cos it's the iPhone...:rolleyes:
 
Yeah I got this email to. PAYG wont be available to later this year for definite now. Its written on the site! :(

Maybe as soon as next week after they have seen how the first week of sales goes. Or small but very very very unlikely chance that Pay & Go phones will be sold through Apple Store straightaway and then through O2 later. At the end of the day who knows, but looks like jailbreaking is still an option if the phones are being posted out. The email says: "Initial, successful orders will be delivered on 11th July by courier and will require a signature as proof of receipt."
 
Maintenance back up again! Full circle in over an hour, and not got anywhere!
