Offical Mac OS X 10.5 shipping status - Via Apple's "Up To Date" program

I got the disk today too in the mail (Boston area). I don't need it (except as a backup), as I am an ADC member and I already got the GM download and the full disc is coming as well, but I booted it up anyway to take a look.
The disc definitely does an upgrade check, but the text does say something like "checking for an installation of MAC OS X 10.4 or higher"
"Or higher", is the key, as I already have Leopard installed on my machine. When I continued on, and tried to install Leopard on another disk I had hooked up, it was going to let me do an erase & install. So clearly the disk is good for reinstalls as long as you have 10.4 or later (including 10.5) installed on one of your attached disks.
I don't know what it will do if you have just a blank disk with nothing on it. I would suppose the disk wouldn't let you install.

where are you located? and also--how is it running on your computer? i have the same model. did you do upgrade or A & I or clean install?
Apple is toying with my mind and my emotions! It goes back and forth between Oct. 30 and Oct. 29 for Delivers By dates... I can't take this... I might have to dump Apple...

Just talked to Apple and 1 to 2 weeks is the expected arrival time for Up-to-date discs in Canada. Totally retarded, I knew I should have just bought the retail version. Apple can stuff their UTD disc.

Mine was delivered today, but no one was here. I resorted to getting Leopard via other means...
Same freak... as soon as I realized I was spurned by Apple on launch day and I wouldnt have my UTD by next week, I put my PHAT ASS Verizon FIOS 30mbs/5mbs connection to mighty fine use.....

So it's not enough I have to hear everyone I know tell me how good Leopard is on the weekend but now I am supposed to wait another 1 to 2 weeks? F*ck that!
ya i got an email last week saying it was shipped the 25th and would arrive today. Alas, no such luck
I'm in Chicago and it came today. I've installed it (it took about an hour ) and I'm getting acquainted with the interface.
