Same here. According to my order status on Apple it is supposed to arrive by tomorrow, but FedEx's website does not even recognize the tracking number.

Hopefully I get it tomorrow.
 
pennsylvania, utd disc status went between 29th and 30th and today is the 30th and I have no disc today. Pretty upset right now apple could of shipped it better for our ten bucks.

How did you know yours is coming via Canada Post?
I have Canada Post/Purolator, and i'm assuming it will show up via purolator.

Has anybody received it via Purolator, checked the tracking on the actual package? Is it the 11111xxxxx number or something else?

ORDERED ON OCT. 16th!
I have the same scenario, same numbering, it was shipped by Purolator, I was supposed to receive the order yesterday(Oct. 29). Just got off the phone with apple and they told me I should receive the order in the next 2 days. He said apple is overwhelmed with so many orders and Purolator has delays in US. Like my friend said was right... Nov 2 or later. Those who got now are lucky, apparently if you ordered late last week/this week it's on back order. Apple has sold over 2 million including UTDs.

Apple told me it was coming via Canada Post and that is why they can't tell me exactly when it's going to show up. Another day almost gone and no UTD disc in Toronto.

So no chance of people who ordered it on the 16th receiving it via Purolator today?
 
my notification email said it delivers by monday, my order status says delivers by tuesday. well, its tuesday, and still isnt here. don't have time to install it anyway though.... so i guess its good im not tempted. (must...study...for...physics exam....:()
 
I'm in the same boat as many others in Canada waiting for their UTD package. It said it shipped on Oct 25th and delivers by Oct 29th (although it still didn't arrive today), and the tracking # 11111***** does not work. I believe it's coming by Purolator as opposed to Canada Post since the tracking # links to their site...the confusion is in the fact that Purolator is 97% owned by Canada Post.
 
Mine hasn't been delivered yet and the Apple store says delivery by Oct. 29. I'm glad now I got impatient and bought the family pack at Compusa on Saturday. I needed the family pack anyway to upgrade the two minis.
 
I'm going to go buy the retail version tonight. Though I hate rewarding Apple for jerking me around. Had I know I would have bought it on the release date.
 
Touchdown in Tasmania, Australia! I would have thought I'd be the last to get it in the world but clearly not.

Installing now.
 
I got my UTD on Monday via USPS, but oddly my 2nd batch of UTD disks shipped Fedex.

Called apple this afternoon, and they told me that purolator got the discs from apple, then handed them to Canada Post who will deliver them.
I think that this makes sense, as the tracking number is invalid on the purolator site.

Some people are reporting that the order status on the apple site provides a delivery date, I'm not seeing any, I only see the ship date.
I do have a delivery date for the 29th on my email confirmation.

Jeebers! I got my UTD early Monday Morning!

Hey Guys,


I was just like you guys, peeved off that our UTD were not treated the same as the retail discs. We shouldve recieved them at the same time....BUT, I recieved my UTD disc early very early monday morning...

BTW im in Toronto, Ontario Canada...it was shipped from a local warehouse:

Apple Inc
Markham, ON L3R 5G2

Shipped via FedEx, they left the order in my mailbox and it did not require a signature.
 
No joy here in Ohio either, and getting more than a little frustrated. Would it have been so hard for Apple to ship this 2nd day, trackable? For a large volume shipper like they are, I'd bet it would have cost them at most $3.50.
 
i also have the same problem, ships via canada post/purolator, should have been here by oct 29, and it didnt, thought it would deliver by oct 30, but no

no sign of UTD here today in Sydney either. Finding this very frustrating also but am somehow relieved that the frustration is global! :mad:

I phoned the Apple Store here in Sydney on Monday (as I was frustrated it hadn't arrived by Friday!!) and they said UTD dvds are manufactured and shipped standard post from Shanghai!!! Retail copies are manufactured here in Australia though. I think thats pretty unfair and grossly misleading of Apple! Cheapskates!

Am astounded that it has arrived in Tasmania before here!! Have fingers and toes crossed that tomorrow will be the lucky day.

That 30Mbps really doesn't doo much for you when you are downloading... You are only as good as your other end... On the other hand you probably have an extremely good share ratio with that kind of upload speed.


Back on topic though... Got my UTD Monday... Florida, USA
