Where are you located?
My post from a thread that seems to have died:
P.S. RafMac, if the disk does come Nov 2nd+ it's a coincidence. Authorized resellers and them no nothing, they're the lowest in the chain.
It's no coincidence, obviously you don't know anyone in mac retail business. And of course I have not receive a disk yet. The funny part is they told me Nov. 2 before I even ordered the disk on the 16th. I work for an agency and we have aver 100 macs here and a massive account with apple and the reseller. But we're not installing Leopard until compatibility and bug issues are resolved at 10.5.1 or later. This disc I ordered is for my personal computer to test and enjoy.
Hey guys, I recently posted a topic regarding my upgrade disk not arriving yet via mail and I thought I'd post it here incase anyone can help me;
"I ordered mine around the 23rd via MAIL and called Apple and they said a 3rd party were handling it and I called them and gave them my details and they said they would call me back. This was over 24 hours ago, and I don't know the status of my product. I know for sure that they received the cheque though.
So I'm wondering how many people in Australia (them being in NSW I think, me being Victoria) have received their upgrade disk, and how long did it take to arrive?"
Ordered on Oct 26th
Supposed delivery date of Oct 31st.
It has shipped, but it's bouncing around California: Valencia; Sun Valley; then stuck at City of Industry since arriving there at 6:30 am. I guess someone decided to "borrow" my disk?![]()
Dear RafMac,
A) As it has been stated, several times, Apple resellers know nothing. Apple is known for it secrecy and whatnot. It's not uncommon for Apple to keep mum on a project, even from it's own people. The new MacBooks, for example, didn't even reach Apple stores till the day of the announcement itself.
Shipping is not secrecy but product releases are, and this has nothing to do with secrecy. Not all retailers have close relationships with apple. The person I know has been dealing with apple for over 20 years and has good relationships. They even have sworn in secrecy for certain things or risk losing their license from apple.

So does this mean seven days after shipping or after delivery date?Here are some helpful albeit discouraging words/info. Spoke to Apple today regarding their successful non-delivery by their indicated arrival date. Their official response is that as per the terms and conditions @ http://www.apple.com/macosx/uptodate/ they are not issuing any service/tracing until the 7 business days have occured, i.e. Tuesday November 6th. Regarding our receipts which indicate various arrival/ship dates these were caused by 'system errors' because the disks are being shipped via US mail and not FedEx. Hope this clears up any confusion, although I know it won't make anyone happy.
